I recently applied for emergency assistance and cash assistance early July and did my intake. I was approved and received a prorated amount At the end of July and was supposed to received benefits for August. It never came and I got a letter stating that august 1st my benefits were cut because I requested them to. This is far from the truth and whoever is working on my case falsified my records. For a whole week I talked to supervisors and they emailed and contacted the person that did my intake. No call back or follow up whatsoever. I’ve been dealing with these bozos for years and i learned that you have to go over their heads to get their attention. As of right now I have filed a court appeal and got the courts involved. This isn’t my first time doing this either and I got callbacks from case workers quicker than you can say 1,2,3. I advise anyone who is going through loops to get benefits is to file an appeal.

That is so very true Betty Hogue
Most Ramsey services are closed on Labor day. As of June 25, 2019, regular hours are Mon-Fri 8-4:30.
No, and the politics just get worse. Now the police are completely impotent as well. What an absolute mess!
Its always like that with the Ramsey county snap program. You just need to keep calling and keep leaving messages until they call you back, but keep a record of every time you call. If it's something urgent then it's best to go straight there and talk to your case worker or someone that can handle your case.
No, you can get a Ramsey county ID. But not a legal ID
Hi Debra, please call us at 651-266-4444 and we'll do our best to help!
Hi Angel - Apologies for any confusion. Which number are you calling?
Hi Pa Nhia, Our sincerest apologies for this. What is the case worker's name?
Hi Lisa. Yes, the Government Center East building is closed on all county holidays, including New Year's Day. https://www.ramseycounty.us/your-government/contacts-locations/county-holidays
Your local/cty human services- family department. They can help you.
No they can not
I would Google it for what county your in
You can go to the county building and at front desk they will give you your change report, or you can go to the county web site I think its Ramsey county human resource center and it should be on web site , but its easier to go down there and they will give it at front desk and ask for time stamp so you get it in on time even if you wait till end month they will count you having it in on the time you have for the time stamp , hope it helps good luck
Most everything went online. When I made a mnsure.org account I was notified shortly after in the messages on whether or not I was approved. Mailings came later.
What services do you need help with? I work there so perhaps I can point u in the right direction
Your best bet is to show up in person. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
You should call the Ramsey County Intake line and ask for what you need.
Contact your Case Worker not the financial worker immediately & let Them know problem of financial worker not responding.. Stress issue about no meds. If you have any other providers working with you & your son, enlist their help. Give them permission to speak to Cty personnel on your behalf. Sometimes having someone with letters behind their names gets action faster than we can. Couple things with prescriptions- ask at the Dr. Office for samples or for discount prescription cards. Most Dr. Offices & clinics now have cards from various programs that offer up to 80% off. Anyone can use these. They're also in some magazines in clincs. Also, try getting a week supply from the pharmacy to hold over while trying to get reactivated. I'm giving these suggestions based on experience & knowing going in is not always an option.
The best bet is to catch a city bus instead of trying to find a parking spot because Ramsey County Sheriff's office checks meters regularly and it would be sad to spend time at the Human Services and get a ticket for an expired meter. All the best for you
This information is sent out in the mail. Make sure your address is correct. Be sure to keep all correspondence from Cty for at least a year for comparison. At least that's my opinion.
Great question. Have to called the information line with your case number?
Call legal aide
Your best bet is to contact them and go from there
Yes
Hi, Thelma - There isn't a central fax number that we can share, but there are many different programs that have their own fax numbers. If you'd like someone to contact you with more information, you can fill out our online form: https://www.ramseycounty.us/contact-us?nid=12186
Hi Sunny - Our sincerest apologies for the delay. Please call the METS team at 651-266-3870 and they'll be able to look up your case number and make sure to connect you with your financial worker.

There are 3 dates that they issue cash benefits. Its the 2nd to the last day of the month, the last day of the month and the first day of the month. So I get mine the 2nd to the last day which for June benefits would be tomorrow the 30th of May. Also, you will get it the same day every month regardless of weekends or holidays. It will automatically go onto your EBT card where you can go to an ATM to withdrawal cash for a 3-5$ atm fee per withdrawal.
Their hours listed on Google are Mon-Fri 8-4:30.
They Will help you for free
Benefits are also prorated the first month. So depending on how much you qualified for, if less than I think $10.00 for the remainder of the month you won't get any. And as the other person pointed out, the day funds are deposited to your card is based on your card number. This is so the funds are allocated in a staggered through the month like Social Security Disability funds so the grocery stores & banks aren't flooded with everyone going to them all at once. Just be patient, if you received paperwork stating you qualified, the rest will follow.
It has to be mailed to you
160 E Kellogg Blvd. I believe it's between Robert and Jackson St.
Yes for the safety of the kids but don’t sign anything because that will keep the hold longer at least that was for my experience and Chisago county. From my experience in Ramsey County CPS does a great job at actually keeping the kids safe and communicating with the parents.
Ask Siri or Google they will have a phone number to help you out. Good luck!
