Alto Sewer has done so much great work at our properties. They are always reliable and professional.

I called Alto Sewer Service to clear a blocked pipe to our septic system. They were nice on the phone and came out promptly, Rick, the technician, seemed pleasant and got to work. He was not able to clear the obstruction and mentioned we may need to hire a plumber to take out sheetrock and modify some of our waste pipes to accommodate a clean out entrance and that he could not do anything more until that was complete. When I had made the appointment, I was told that the cost would be $165.00. He worked from 3:00 to 3:50 and the bill was $225.00, without fixing our problem. The next day a plumber stopped by and said that Rick neglected to take the cover off the drain to reveal the clean out. The plumber had the pipe cleared and charged a lot less to really clear the clog. I feel that Alto misrepresented their service and I emailed Mike, the owner to correct the situation on September 24th, 2022. To date, I have not heard back from him. I will never refer any business their way. I feel like they seem nice, but are liars, cheaters, and stealers. Stay way away from this organization. Mike now has left a message for me, but doesnβt answer the phone or call me back.

Came when they said they would, made the repair I needed, and the price was reasonable.

No - Septic systems use bacteria to eliminate pathogens in waste. The drain cleaners can kill the good enzymes and bacteria in your tank and can be damaging to the tank itself.
They are designed to be strong so that they can cut through hair, grease and more. But they are corrosive and can damage pipes. If you are using drain cleaners frequently, you should call a plumber to properly clean out the drain.
Once roots get into your pipes they will continue to grow and will cause a complete blockage of your sewer line. They can also break apart the sewer pipe if they get too large.
Slow drains are the first sign. You may also hear gurgling sounds from your toilet, foul odors and even sinkholes in your lawn.
Call a plumber right away. Your pipes have frozen and have pressure building up. This is what leads to burst pipes.
An open faucet will have a slow trickle or no water at all. Also check your water meter. If It shows movement when all water fixtures are off, it could mean a pipe has burst.
Once every three years is required by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
There could be a issue with the pump or the drainfield. Silence the alarm and call us right away.
Yes - we are a Subsurface Sewage Treatment Company and will maintain your septic system with regular pumping, cleaning and maintaining the tanks.
It is used to clean sewer & drain lines. A high pressure water pump is attached to a hose that can remove tree roots, grease, dirt and much more.
Food is likely to be stuck in the disposal, drain or even in pipes. Make sure you run hot water before adding a cleaner made specifically for garbage disposals.

Most drains are clogged because of what is washed down them. If they are clogged, call us to have them cleaned correctly.
