Good place to live, management is friendly and accommodating. I’ve been here almost a year and haven’t had any issues :)

Live anywhere else. The complex itself is gross, trash gets just thrown everywhere and left for days and the hallways smell like mildew and rotting carpet. The unit we rented had clearly not been cleaned or inspected prior to move-in. It was grimy and stunk like stale cigarettes no matter what we did. We found trash all over, I'm assuming from the previous tenants. The carpet was supposedly new, but crunched underfoot and was sticky in spots. The whole stove didn't work, and had to be replaced after we moved in. The windows are so old and loose in their frames they never stopped rattling and let out all the heat/AC. Maintenance would just let themselves in when we weren't home and I'd come home to my unit door wide open, so our cats could have ran away. They were constantly letting themselves in without consent or even communicating to us they would be there, the office staff didnt care and would try and say they'd given notice when they hadn't. The only thing that stopped this was to install a home security camera. Houseless people sleep in the laundry rooms. Other tenants let their kids run rampant inside the hallways and hang out in the building all day without supervision, these kids then throw things at their neighbors doors and leave trash everywhere, parents and staff do nothing. Lastly the office staff never respond to emails and hardly answer the phone when you need help or answers with ANYTHING. The only time i received prompt communication from office staff was when Joe Lazano would try to accuse us of not paying rent and tried to say we didn't renew our lease when we had. If my husband and I could have afforded to move anywhere else we would have never rented from this community. Absolutely one of the worst renting experiences I have ever had where you are treated by staff as a nuisance and your privacy is constantly invaded. Save yourself the stress and disappointment: move anywhere else but the Pines.

I'll start by saying Christine was amazing, I clicked with her right away, she sold me on the place and I went home and applied online with my boyfriend. I sent 2 follow up emails asking for verification my app was recieved and never heard back. Several days later my boyfriend called and Laila the other woman that works there said mine went through, but was missing a zip code, but my boyfriends app "could not be seen" and the place we applied for was then applied for by someone else. Laila was rude, condescending and offered no apology for any of it. She still claims that I never emailed them to follow up, at the very minimum she could have apologized for "not getting" my emails instead of blaming me and basically calling me a liar. She still expected us to want to re apply and for what? Why would I want to apply for an apartment that's already pending and waste 100$ on applications for a place that isn't available now? Let alone pay to live there and deal with someone who handles situations so poorly.

We have washers and dryers available on every floor of every building. The laundry facilities are open 24 hours a day. We are a heart healthy, stairs only, community. The first floor is a minimal stairs option.

We do accept vouchers as long as they go up to the current market rent value of our homes. We are not a subsidized property.
