UPDATE FROM A DIAMOND MEMBER: I initially gave a 3 star review. After much consideration and receiving a very professional reply from the owner, I changed my rating to 4 stars. My initial rating reflects my initial impression and the fact that I prefer newer, more modern properties. However, this historical older building is a slice of Americana. The building exterior and common areas are not modern, because the building is 100 years old! The staff were amazing, and a better, more accurate review reflects 4- stars. Thank you for your loyalty to my hotel needs. -Dr. Clawson

Front desk was helpful and check-in was easy. The room was clean and spacious but it had single pane windows that were zip tied together because the latches were no longer functional. Street noise and music from the next door bar made it difficult to sleep, we were given ear plugs but it still was not ideal. I would consider the age of the building when making your decision to book.

A truly amazing historic structure in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Before you read any further, I have not stayed in a room as a guest, but I have visited the lobby bar and have attended events in the meeting rooms. The building was originally constructed as the main office for Valley National Bank. The Hilton has done an amazing job in reusing this historic masterpiece as an inviting hotel. I appreciate that the building is being used and will be for many more years.

I recently stayed here with my mom and it was a great experience. There is a dunkin' within a 5 minute walk and downtown area is less than a mile away. Service was friendly and the rooms were clean as well. The beds were very comfortable and felt like memory foam mattresses. The view was nice as well. I hope to be able to stay here again.

There was no shuttle when I stayed there. Lyft was around 10.00 I believe. I rode the light rail train down. I walked about two blocks from the stop to the hotel. Train cost 1.00
No on site parking except valet parking. There a parking garages in the area.
Call ahead. Sometimes during special events the parking garages are closed and the area the hotel has for valet parking is very limited. About 12 to 14 cars max.
5 minute walk to Chase Field and 15 to 20 minutes to the airport.
You might circle, but plenty of street parking if you look! With it. Great bartender there. Young, but old-school cocktail man who knows the history of most of the drinks he mixes, and happy to tell you!
