Sink drain was disgusting night desk wanted to leave for housekeeping. NO I NEED A SINK TO GET READY EARLY. He told us we could clean it and I was livid. Finally around midnight he cleared it up enough to use in the morning. Did get us extra towels but I don't think the floor even got cleaned. Luckily just a place to sleep few nights. Area seemed decent.

Im probably one of a handfull that had a bad experience with the hotel. This experience taught me patience and understanding. Friendly staff and its a great location if you have family at the Mayo Clinic. Beware when you check in because when I checked in I paid cash and they wanted a credit or debit card to put on file said they wouldn't charge anything to the card until I checkout but as I was walking out to go to my room I got a message from my bank saying they took $1140. Long story short never received a receipt and front desk worker told me the money would be back in my account 3 to 5 business days and 8 days later I called and they said to contact my bank because they didn't take any money it was returned. I still yet to receive my money and had to file a claim with my bank and it could take 6 to 9 months to see funds back in my account. 😔

So, I am a marriott gold member. I typically like their properties and the staff is usually great. But corporate policies are absurd. They boast about care and concern with the Mayo clinic campus and help and discounts. But you can't use credits earned while working away from your family and those caring discounts at the same time? That's not right! You need to do better!

This is the best place to stay if you have a loved one who is at the Mayo Clinic Hospital. The Hotel is actually located on the Mayo Clinic property about 300 yards from the hospital. The suites are xlnt with a kitchen, bathroom, and a living room that extends into the bedroom area. 2 people can sleep on the King size bed, and 2 can sleep on the sofa bed. One I was there before the pandemic they would serve breakfast in the morning. I am not sure if they still do that. So if you are curious I suggest that you call them.

Everything was sanitized and cleaned.
Yes, they even have an elevator for hospital beds
No, not nearly that much.
Yes, it is. If you are staying at this Hotel, they have a Shuttle, which is available 24/7. My friend had a 5:30 a.m.,check-in at Mayo for a pre-op. Appt. We simply called downstairs from the room 30 minutes before to let the Shuttle know what time to be in front. Also, the Shuttle is available to take you to the local, large nearby outdoor Mall & Restaurants. The Shuttle is free. Tipping is certainly appreciated. Finally, FYI, the Hotel sits, essentially on the same grounds as the Mayo Clinic. The Mall is about 5-10 mins. away, by Shuttle. Huge property. Best of luck.
Free basic, there is an upgraded wifi for 4.95 a night, however my Xbox tested bandwidth at 63.68mbps which is satisfactory for most things.
There is an arrangement with Mayo for patients of the hospital, but not specifically with the ACS.
Yes they do offer an AARP/Senior discount as well as a Mayo Hospital discount which as I recall is greater than the Senior discount.
