This review isn't for the hotel itself, as I haven't been able to get there (yet), but for the nice people working the front desk. I had to cancel my reservation, even though it was past the deadline, due to an illness. The person I spoke with was very helpful and kind and I really appreciated that! Still hoping to be able to get there before the end of the summer. Thank you again!

I have been in many HGI locations, and they are pretty much cookie-cutter, which is good, and you know what to expect. The challenge has been with amenities such as bars and restaurants being open! We found that the restaurant was closed because of the lack of personnel. After we displayed our dismay, the general manager became aware of the lack of recognition of status and decided to open the bar for me and my guests, and we can say that Karin was absolutely on top of things and made everything right by opening the bar which was greatly appreciated. From one star to 5 stars in a flip! Management stays the same; the place is highly recommended!!

The front desk receptionist was extremely rude. He was rude when I called to ask a few questions before booking our rooms and his attitude is the reason we chose to stay somewhere else. We had stayed here before years ago and the service was great, but I will take my business elsewhere going forward. If it's your job to answer phones and help guests with their stay, then you should do it gracefully, otherwise, you might need a different job.

Nice, clean hotel. Restaurant is expensive. No continental breakfast. There is free coffee in lobby, which is nice. Rooms are clean but a bit tight. There is a lot of noise from other rooms and hallway, which I've noticed is a problem at Hilton hotels. Not enough insulation or too big a crack under the door, perhaps. Beautiful pool area and comfortable bed and pillows were a plus.
