I worked here in college and would say that of the parks I’ve been to, there’s a certain romanticized feeling of baseball. The team isn’t the best, but does it’s best to cater to its fans. The staff are great and very youthful considering their ages, but they make it all work. Can Spilly just let me throw out the first pitch? He is so professional and kind to the fans and staff. And plz let me just say that Gate E is the best. They are the real front door of the stadium they are some of the first to arrive and the last to leave. All trust worthy folks. I hope you enjoy your visit and Go Rockies!
Anyone with a ticket can get in. But there are always those who look to do evil to the unsuspecting. If the child is responsible and is safety aware, send him. I started attending MLB games at 15 by myself. But I'd rather see the minor accompanied by an adult.
Yes, you can get a tour for around $10 per person. They take you do wen to the field as part of that tour. You can't go on the grass, but you can go on the warning tracks and in the dugouts.
18th and Market Street has $10 gameday parking in the garage.. get there early if you can. There's also a lot at 20th and market that is $40 but only a five ish minute walk.
Timely ?
We were in the Ticket Office line for the Fri., May 25, Reds @ Rox game w/less than 20 minutes before the first pitch. Not only was the guy in front of us taking FOREVER to get his tix, he was also buying some for a game (VERY bad form). We get to the window & buy our tix in <5 minutes, then ran to the shortest-line entrance. Only when they scanned our tix did we realize they were for a game in mid-Sept. ... ?! We zipped back to another ticket window, got tix for THAT game, & got in by the end of the 1st :-/
Long Story Short: Buy tix for that day's game online, or @ the Ticket Ofc. LONG before crowds form, or from scalpers (I've generally had good luck that way) . . . PvH
Coors Field
Plastic beverage containers.
Soft-sided bags or containers 16"x 16"x 8" or smaller.
Insulated cups or thermoses 22 ounces or smaller.
Food items in individual portions.
Any fruit or vegetable, grapefruit sized or smaller.
Still and video cameras (see "Cameras")
Binoculars.
Seat cushions and bleacher back rests.
I think it would be hilarious if Coors Field staff installed cardboard cutouts of fans holding trashcans when the Astros come to town. What do you think?
The Rock Pile is a section of bleachers under the big screen on the north west side of the field. It is back behind the outfield. Still fun to see the game from here, & cheaper!
For tomorrow's game I would recommend 1 hour w or without a family, the game is a near sellout, so long lines to enter the closer to gametime. Parking is in lots A and B are a short walk to stadium, $20 or so.
I looked thru the team website for parking options in the area...as well as just googling "parking for Rockies games".
Parking panda.com is another site to consider.
So overall...pretty easy to find options for parking.
When does batting practice start

Home BP starts 2 and a half hours before the game, gates open 2 hours prior to the start of the game
Yes along 3B line, and if you want to stay shaded for the entire game, the last 5 or so rows farthest away from the field in the bottom section. (I hope that makes sense!)
Can you catch batting practice before a game in the outfield seats even if your seats are somewhere else?

Yes.
Can you catch batting practice in the outfield seats even though your seats are somewhere else?

Yes as long as you able to enter the stadium, you can walk around, only have to move seats when the ticket holder shows up!
For the Jimmy Buffet/Eagles concert only printed tickets were accepted at the gate. ( no mobile phone scan) Is this going be the case for Journey/Def Leopard?
Robert Vargas | Oct 31, 2018
Vikki Lynch | Oct 31, 2018
Yes, it will be the same. My VividSeats e-ticket app has the following explanation under my ‘Order Details’:
“You must bring your printed tickets to your event in order to gain entry to the venue.
Please make sure that the bar codes on your printed tickets are clearly visible.”
Yes the bag of sunflower seeds cant be open, hoodie yes, and water cant be open either. If plan on buying peanuts get them outside of the park little vendors have them for two dollars and are the same size. Back pack cant be huge aswell
During the threat of inclement weather, umbrellas are allowed at Coors Field. In consideration of the safety and sight lines of others, please use only small, compact umbrellas (28" - 34"). Large golf umbrellas and umbrellas with metal tips are strongly discouraged.)
I believe the size limit on bags is 16 in by 16 in by 8 in. You can confirm on the Coors Field website. As long as the bag is close to those dimensions they will let you in, but they do check all bags. Some events may have different restrictions, but this is the standard for the stadium.
There is an Amtrak train that runs from the airport to Union Station. From Union Station it is about a five minute walk. There is also bus service at Union station. If you choose to drive anyway, parking starts at about $15 and the traffic is horrible. Park at any of the park and rides in the Denver area and take the bus or train. I did exactly that yesterday to the game and my round trip fare was $9...there is a park and ride about five blocks from me
No clear bag policy or anything strict like that. They confiscated my pocket knife because of the length of the saw, but I could get it back after the game. No restrictions on giant zombie bodyguards that I'm aware of.
Public transit takes you right next to the entrance, there are shuttles from the parking lot, they also have handicap seating. Id ask their ticketing about that.
