Seriously? It’s because the air is thinner due to elevation. Meaning less air resistance for when the ball travels.
Before the MLB allowed a change, the balls flew further because it's so dry here and the balls dehydrated faster than at sea level. Drier, lighter balls flew faster and further. Now they keep balls in a humidor type setting to keep them closer to regulation.
MileHiiii, up in the sky!!
Our altitude definitely
Higher altitude
I DON'T KNOW IF THE PHOTOS CAN'T BE TRANSFERRED TO THE MOUNTAIN NATURE GALLERY.
The air is thinner
Denver is the mile high city in which the air is thinner so the ball flies farther than any other ballpark.
Altitude
Thin air carries ball, rockies pitchers are bad and stadium very hitters friendly.
The altitude produces thinner air. So the ball has less resistance as it travels. Other observations here are that it's harder to pitch here because the ball has less resistance to use to it's advantage on, say, curve balls.
"The air density there is about 15% less than at most other major-league stadiums."
Better air.
The altitude at mile high
Supposedly high altitude.
The air is thinner due to the altitude.
Because the baseballs are kept at a certain temperature in a humidor. The balls are lighter in weight, and travel farther here, because of the altitude...👍💜⚾
The Altitude
It is the mile high for sure.
