I previously left a pretty negative review and I deleted it. I’m going to change it to a neutral but more positive review. I just want to say that I had a bad ER experience with my daughter but I followed up with patient services about it and they are doing something about it which I find honorable and admirable. I understand hospitals are short staffed and nurses and doctors are on high demand with little help. People have bad days. Nurses are human just like anybody else. This is likely what led to the experience I had. But I want to thank the hospital for listening to my concerns after the fact and following up with the emergency department to see where it went wrong. Thank you Jameson for making it right. I have a little more faith if we ever need care there again.

Jameson WANTS me to die. Not even a joke. I went there on the 13th (Oct) with something horribly wrong with my leg. Terrible pain doesn't begin to describe the pain, 2 nights prior I pulled a muscle so I thought, but it keeps swelling. Came to the ER. I was treated like I was here to get high. No, I was there for PROPER TESTING AND HELP! I was given an ultrasound, and they dismissed me with saying it was just an old DVT, and an Old Hematoma. Wait, what?! So no CT was ordered, no bone check, no muscle/tendon check. Nurse Sanders gave me a Norco, and sent me on my way with instructions to make an appointment with an Ortho. That was it. When I asked if I was getting a script or something to get me through even the night she laughed and said "We don't usually give pain meds for this". FOR WHAT??!!! PAIN!!!??? She had me sign a few things and said I could go. Hello?! I need a wheelchair! I literally cannot walk. Literally. She asks if I have crutches at home (as she walked away) and I said I think I still have a cane. Nothing more. She dismissed me. The ER Doc, never saw them. They just couldn't be bothered. Now it's been a few days since I was there. My leg is bigger, the pain is so bad, I have stopped eating. I cannot sleep. My BP is 211/107 because of PAIN! So when I stroke out or have a heart attack, what will you tell my husband then?! Jameson should be shut down.

Idk how to give zero stars but if I could I would. Waited 5 hrs just to finally get into a room then they make me take the tests I already took while in the waiting room again. Have me waiting in the room for hrs more. Worst hospital I have ever been to.

They will let you you see them just about any time. ICU hours may vary. If patient is critical they will let you see them
It is possible to keep him there as he would have better monitored care than being in the room. That being said, the hospital does have a grievance procedure. Ask for the Nurse Supervisor. That person is the one that will take the grievance and see that things get done. Sadly, UPMC Jameson does not relay much to the patient or family members when things go wrong. I was there for a 30 minute procedure. Things went south and it took over 3 hours. Never said what has the problem. What was done should have not made me feel worse than when I went in. Next time take you family member to Butler Memorial.
Absolutely not! There is no communication from the floor nursing staff. They rarely check in on you. They lie about doctors not putting in orders. For discharge, the doctor put in the orders at a little after 8. They told me the doctor hadn't put the orders in yet, d then later said it takes 3 hours for the orders to post in their system. You don't even have tv to pass the time unless you pay for each day that you want it. I heard excuse after excuse and even had to get up, go down the hall and track my nurse down to hear more lies. I finally called the director of nursing about the situation and that I was leaving with or without papers at 11:15. Less than a minute later the nurse came in and said my discharge orders were next in the printer queue.
I agree, avoid that hospital, very unprofessional
