Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Especially when I need to use a computer to download bead patterns and then print them out. Thank you

The Glen Burnie library has INCREDIBLE staff!! My sons and I go library hopping in Anne Arundel County and our experience is super personalized at the Glen Burnie location. Never has a librarian ever come up to us to greet us and support our visit at any other branch we frequent but it is almost always going to happen at Glen Burnie...except for when they are super busy and have great enrichment events happening concurrently. They also have an excellent and vast selection of books, and are very dilligent with having prizes for the summer reading program. Some branches were confused about the 1,000 books to Kindergarten program but it makes my son feel very special yo be acknowledged for reading with his family.

All AACPL locations are still offering curbside pickup. Just text the number on the sign when you arrive and we'll bring your items out.
Glen Burnie Library is not an early voting site this year, but the Crofton, Edgewater, Odenton and Severna Park Libraries are. There is an early voting location in Glen Burnie - it’s the AA County Board of Elections office at 6740 Baymeadow Dr.
No, libraries are open regular hours on President’s Day
Hi Herbie, the library no longer requires appointments to visit. You can come by anytime during open hours. See you soon!
Hi Damaris, you can apply for a virtual card at this link: https://www.aacpl.net/get-a-library-card. That gives you access to all of our digital resources, including eBooks. To check out physical materials you'll need to upgrade to a regular card. Just visit any branch and show some ID/proof of address and we'll get you all taken care of. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions!
As of this writing, Glen Burnie has plenty of Maryland Tax booklets left to give out. We no longer stock Federal forms and booklets, but you are currently able to print up to 10 pages for free per day - we're happy to print these for you.
Hi Kathy, libraries are currently only open for curbside checkout. We will reopen our doors with limited services on July 6. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for updates.
Yes. They have a whole bank of them. You need either your library card or a guest pass from the main desk.
The library does have scanning capability. Currently as of 3/26/2019 the library does not have scanning to email. You can scan to a flash drive however.
Yes! You're welcome to bring covered drinks into the library. Thank you for asking.
No you cant you have to go to the post office for that
No, I'm sorry. The Library does not currently lend video games.
Hi Roxy, libraries do not have notaries, but you can find a list of Maryland notaries here: http://askus.aacpl.net/faq/160157.
Yes! She’ll enjoy Toddler Time, held most Wednesdays at Glen Burnie at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. https://www.aacpl.net/events#search-events
It's 99 items per account. Not only movies. You could ask them to have you put in line for whatever movie you want that's currently not available. I have an account online and have placed around 60 items on hold, that are currently checked out, and the library will alert me when they become available for pick-up. I've never had any issues with how many items other people can rent out, as you can rent out the same amount as well. Just go online and put all the movies you and your kids want, and after people return them, you'll be coming out with 5 bags of movies as well.
They do. If you check online, you can see what they have available. And if it's not at this branch, you can have them request it from another branch.
They have the tools to educate you on how to do them yourself using the irs.gov website.
All you need is state issued identification. In filing out the application, provide a local address that you have access to. I still have my original id from Ohio and they associate your library card with the local address and your birthday it's really easy to obtain a card.
No. I asked a year ago.
Yes, you can. I believe it's a dollar per page if I'm not mistaken.
