Good luck with finding out anything! When you take the test, when the program starts, how how much it costs... Absolutely useless in calling, no response to emails... I have no idea if this place really exists.

Very interesting school, good experience to go there and see it, (I plan to go there in the future) I won't say much but it's a pretty cool place and somewhere I'm looking forward coming to again as a student.

The best thing you can do is go to the school between 9 A.M. and 11 A.M. on Wednesday's and apply for the Apprenticeship program.
If you are not a member they won't let you come to a meeting. The policy probably won't change. They say their looking into it, but I honestly think their still will be no tolerance for drug use. It's still federally illegal.
I think it's about 40-45% of a journeyman "c" card. You check out the following link for the current pay scale: https://www.ejatt.com/
You can also find information on the EJATT website.
You can still apply, let the coordinator know about your grade when you apply , he can allow you to take the test ....Yes there is a test , if you do well you could still be accepted. Its a great job, with great benefits and a lot of great people. Some of the classes need a solid math background.
No it is not required that you go through the trainee program. The training program simply gives you the chance to get experience in the trade and gives you a couple points in your favor when you submit your application for the apprenticeship.
The helper program is usually only given out in the spring.
You would only be eligible to apply to be a communication journeyman. Call the school and ask for registration
They're still running testing and classes tentatively. The amount of accepted applicants has been dramatically reduced though. Calling them directly is the best way to get info. They're website isn't as regularly updated.
Yes
As long as you know basic algebra you can do it. They teach you the rest in class an hands on.
Yes

You will be in school for 11 weeks straight. In those 11 weeks you will not work. You will be in school Monday- Friday 7 -3:30. Following a successful completion of the 11 weeks you will be assigned to work with a contractor for nine months.
A valid driver's license is required...you do get to travel with 134...
It just says on Wednesdays 9am to 11. Thank you
Contact IBEW local 134 to put ina request for an application for apprenticeship. EJATT/NECA is local 134 IBEW traing trust school. Call the main hall 312-454-1340 and ask when the next apprentice application period begins.
Go to the website.
Yes
Not to my knowledge
Ejatt.com sign up every Wednesday go to apprenticeship program tab
They'll send you a letter with your ranking and if your in the first 80 you'll get a letter with the next steps of what to do
Vacation time is essentially whenever you want. Through the principle agreement you get paid according to your scale a vacation fund that gets put into a account for you. That income that you get from the vacation fund depending on how much you save of it could account for 1 2 or 3 weeks of pay. During the apprenticeship though I would recommend one week a year but that's my personal opinion because that's what I did. But some contractors don't have an issue with you taking multiple weeks off segmented throughout the year
With no electrical experience and without knowing any electricians I applied, took the test, and was accepted into the program.
It's moreso for identification although it will be more difficult to maintain a contractor without a mode of personal transportation.
If you have taken the test once you should receive a letter that will allow you to reapply once without resubmitting all paperwork. You will only need that letter $25 and your license.
Where do you go to apply for the trainee program?
the elevators mechanics Union is on 111th street in Chicago Ridge. Not local 134 in Alsip. Best of luck to you.
Most likely you'll receive something in your mail box. The trainee program usually starts about late February to early March
