Friendly staff. Love that's its a NO KILL shelter. I adopted my kitten from there.

This is absolutely the worst shelter you could possibly work with. We went in to see a dog days before he was posted online. The staff there said to keep checking everyday for him since we couldn't adopt him before being processed. After checking everyday and driving a hour and a half to see him, they posted him a hour before the shelter even opened and someone just "happened" to call that exact moment. The staff there are holding dogs for friends and family and it isn't fair to the rest of the community. The dog we were trying to adopt was a friends dog who had to take it to the shelter and no amount of pleading with them would make them let us take him. They are nasty and rude at every chance and have no business caring for animals. If they are as rude as they are to people, I can only imagine how they treat animals.

Was a very welcoming staff and was informative on all the animals status! We left with the perfect companion for us! We love Abby.

Why to volunteer to walk a puppy.... What a beautiful facility! We had a great time walking Benji.

I was gonna try to help answer your question, but I dont really understand the question. Stop what? And it says 9' which is nine feet. Did you mean 9 degrees? Also help find homes for what kind of animals?
I believe you may be asking about our adoption fees. We typically charge $75 for dogs, which includes a distemper/parvo vaccine, a dewormer, a flea preventative, a heartworm test, a microchip, a spay or neuter, and a rabies vaccine, costing us on average $105.82 per dog. We typically charge $40 for cats, which includes a feline disease prevention vaccine, a dewormer, a flea preventative, a microchip, a spay or neuter and rabies vaccine, costing us on average $72.21 per cat. The adoption fees help to offset the cost we spend on each animal placed for adoption, the remainder is then supplemented with donations we receive from good samaritans. The city budget does not pay for ANY medical care we provide for each animal as part of their adoption package, so we must ask for help with the cost from adopters and the community. We do on occasion discount our adoption fees either as a "sale" promotion or based on individual animals, such as older age or a sponsorship donation.
The trailor park itself has that requirement? Dog tags and proof of up to date shots will legally be all that is required.... they cannot ask you to do something the city itself does not require, especially if its not in the contract you signed. Check out your contract, if it is in there then you will have to start calling veterinary clinics... or go down to the court house and get their suggestions. Best of luck
Does the Rushville Shelter have any med. to lg. puppies for service dogs? I want to train my own..
It all depends on what animals are there! Stop by and take a look! It's a wonderful shelter!
