Just looked at the website. I actually went to the zoo after visiting the website. Grandkids loved boo in the zoo. Very well organized and had lots of fun. Great job.
Dona Delight
Beautiful Zoo. All animals are taken care of very well.

Yes, they are! Guests with service animals just need to check in at the Ranger Station before entering the zoo. The Ranger Station is to the right of the ticket booth at our front entrance. All service animals must have proof of current rabies vaccination.
Belinda, with the exception of some of our tropical tortoises, you'll see just about every animal out enjoying the spring weather!
All month it's 70 cents. https://www.zooknoxville.org/event/70th-anniversary-celebration/
Camel rides 6.00. Train rides are 3.00 and the carousel is 2.00
Maybe you can save them as pdfs and just let the zoo admissions scan them on your phone.

Yes, we do! Our giraffe experience is open daily for two feeding sessions, one at 11:00 a.m. and the other at 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. The cost is $5 per person.
Yes, you can! We just ask that you don't bring in any glass containers or disposable straws.
Sorry, but all of our restaurants have differing menus with a variety of prices, so there isn't one that can be labeled as the cheapest.
Yes, you can rent a single stroller for $11+tax and a double stroller for $13+tax.
Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own strollers. Enjoy your visit!
That membership level includes one named adult and up to 6 unnamed children or grandchildren. Children 2 and under are free. It means that you can bring up to six children with you for your visit.
Most of our positions require an applicant to be at least 18 years old.
Our penguins have relocated just up the road to Ripley's Aquarium while we construct a new Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Campus. It offered them a place to live that wouldn't be so close to the noise of construction and also gave them an improved habitat and social interactions!
I think there is handicapped parking, but last time I was there it was $5 to park.
Saturday 9 AM–5PM Sunday 9 AM–5PM Monday 9 AM–4PM Tuesday 9 AM–4PM Wednesday 9 AM–4PM Thursday 9 AM–4PM Friday 9 AM–4PM

The Zoo did something for my Granddaughter who also wants to go to school to be a vet.

It's nice but I recommend going between april and September the animals are more active and the animals like giraffes, elephants and tigers like the heat better not to mention the vegetation looks much better.
No. They close Christmas Day. For some unknown reason, they don't want the public to see the animals opening their gifts. And the meerkats are just too shy to open presents when watched.
They are available in the zoo gift shop
9 am - 4 pm weekdays, 9 am - 5 pm on the weekends
They have dog eating animals I think!!! Don't risk it just in case I'm right.
Yes

Unfortunately, there are no longer camel rides at Zoo Knoxville.
No but most areas of the zoo are stroller and wheelchair accessible.
Cheryl, you may purchase at the gate as long as we are not sold out for the evening. Enjoy!
Although do not currently know the answer to the o.p. I can find out on Tuesday and report back. As to the response about anyone using the passes, that may have been the case in the past, but for the past three weeks I have both witnessed other pass holders being asked for ID and I have been asked for ID when showing/scanning my annual pass.
Any guest with a disability pays normal admission to the zoo, but their caretaker gets in for free . You can take a cooler with food and drinks as far as I could tell. I'm sure non-alcoholic beverages only is the policy. As far as going in and out with a hand stamp I'm not sure how they do that we bought season passes so we have cards. Covid restrictions were not in place when we went but of course use common sense when it comes to washing yours hands and touching things. Other than that try checking their website I'm sure you'll find more answers there.
I'm sorry but we don't have any kennels, and for the safety of our guests and animals we don't allow pets into the zoo, only service animals. Guests with service animals should check in at the Ranger Station before entering the zoo, and all service animals must have proof of current rabies vaccination.
The kids ticket price is 18. Adult 27 . Worth every penny
We do offer scooters and wheelchair rentals. They are $12 per day for wheelchairs and $30 per day for scooters.
Current adult admission is $19.95, children (4-11) and seniors (65+) are $16.95, and children three and under are free.
No, our oldest elephant didn't arrive at the zoo until around 1980, and he's been here longer than either of our female elephants.
Any admission tickets that you purchase are good for a year from the date of purchase.
Adult 13 - 64 Upgrade to an annual pass for just 27.05 more. $19.95 Child 4 - 12 Upgrade to an annual pass for just 4.05 more. $16.95 Senior 65+ Upgrade to an annual pass for just 19.05 more. $16.95 Parking Upgrade to an annual pass to receive FREE parking. $5.00 There isn't always a parking attendant taking money though. Depends when you go.
We have very roomy single and double strollers that can carry a little extra cargo, too.
Einstein is still here and doing well! She and her other Bird Show friends are living in other parts of the zoo while construction of our new Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Campus is ongoing. And that same construction required the removal of the prairie dog and penguin exhibits, both of which were past their prime anyways. The penguins now have nice, new digs at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.
Sorry, but we do not offer any SNAP(EBT) discount for tickets or annual passes.
So your saying to buy my tickets in advance? See I'm in ky 3 hrs away n I just want to know before going
Yes there are! We are home to Tonka, Edie and Jana African elephants.
The trams aren't wheelchair accessible but there is enough room to be dropped off at the gate. Hope that helps
10-4, Kroger Days $5 off admission (off season )
The zoo is open every day except Christmas eve and Christmas day. So yes.
Adults are $19.95, children ages 4-12 are $16.95 and ages 3 and under are free. Parking is $5.
Yes, you can bring drinks and food
With the exception of some of our tropical tortoises, most animals are on view year-round unless we experience extremely frigid temperatures.
Ms. Stephens, you can purchase a senior pass for $36 and individual passes for your grandchildren at $21 each and children under 4 are free.
Best to call them and ask.
You don't HAVE to have a season pass. You can get a day pass, I'm just not sure how much it is. But like Riley said, the website will have all that information.
Yes, we offer all state of Tennessee police, fire and EMS first responders free admission.
I didn't see any Pets
o
Absolutely!
Happy to share that our entire zoo is accessible!
That is for the entire day.
Just keep an eye on the weather. During the week the schools have been having field trips.
From their website: 'We provide accessible facilities throughout most of the park. Strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters are available on a first come first serve basis for rent. RENTAL INFORMATION Single Stroller $10 + tax Double Stroller $12 + tax Wheelchair $12 + tax ECV (Electronic Scooter) $30 + tax* *ECV not available in the rain'
I have seen orange zoo ones on children around that age about 2 weeks ago. Assumed they got them there
We offer three special events for ages 21 and up; Wild Vine (April 26), Feast with the Beasts (August 10) and Brew at the Zoo (Sept. 20).
We are open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $16.95 for kids 4-12 and seniors 65 and over, and under 4 is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Enjoy your visit!
Becky, we don't currently have any naming contests for the public, but always announce those on our social media pages (@zooknoxville) when they are available.
Tickets are good for one year from date of purchase. Enjoy your visit! Zoo Knoxville
Yes, we offer student discounts to all college students on our annual passes and should have discounted student general admission tickets available by the weekend!
Only the cows are out and kids don't matter. If you want to you can have the kids clean up the poop. I guess.
Ms. Smith, if you choose the "Add a Guest" option, you may bring a guest on each visit.
Yes they can
If you order the tickets in November they are 70 cents but you have to order under the special section for discounted tickets. Bring one nonperishable food utem per ticket for free parking.
Some places may do rain checks and let you, but it would be best to call and ask.
No
That would be a negative
I paid about $20 for my adult ticket, plus $5 for parking. Kids under 4 are free, over four are $17. But the year long pass for kids is $20, so... That's kind of a no brainier. Adult passes are $45 for the year.
Yes everyday but Christmas
Yes, you may bring your own food, we just request no glass or straws.
From their website: Guests with service animals, please check in at the Ranger Station before entering the zoo. All service animals must have proof of rabies vaccination.
We highly recommend staying in downtown Knoxville, which is only 4 miles away, and enjoy all the wonderful activity there. You can find more info on lodging at visitknoxville.com.
Handicap parking i am not sure, especially of this sort. They do though have a turn about right infront of the Zoo that would probably have all the room you would need. Then you could park after, maybe? Also useing google maps they have a Allo message option listed there. You can utilize that to message them directly. It takes them a little to get back to you but they do respond. Maybe you could get a more offical answer that way. 😊
They have a reptile exhibit that has rattlesnakes and alligators, by no crocs or anacondas. There are some more in the Pilot building. There's a large python there.
Yes it is, which is great with the 90 degree temperatures we still have! Enjoy!
No
They do rent carts. Not sure of the cost though.
No it's a discount
Adults are $19.95, children ages 4-12 and seniors over 65 are $16.95 and under 4 is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
Cole, no, I'm afraid that due to capacity and the demand we can only offer them through our Circle of Friends program currently.
Nikki, we're afraid our red pandas are not domesticated animals and don't enjoy being touched or handled by humans. However, we do offer the opportunity to go behind the scenes and sometimes even the chance to offer them treats to our Circle of Friends members starting at the "Curator" level of membership. Details here: https://www.zooknoxville.org/circle-of-friends/donor-privileges/
No rule, as long as child can sit & hold on to a nerf rail - will be good. Staff people are great, they lead the camel & are right there. My 5 year grand daughter had a blast. Splash pad worth price of admission
Some animals such as the Rhinos are more active in the rain because it cools things off. We went on a rainy day and still enjoyed our trip.
Yep all day visit! And definitely worth every moment. This zoo a lot better than some you get to have a closer more personal view of the animals and the play places for the kids are amazing
Yes, we offer free admission for state employees and law enforcement, but I'm afraid we do not currently offer discounts to immediate family.
I could not tell you. I don't know. Have you tried calling the zoo?
Kids Cove is included with your general admission ticket.
They are open on the 4th of july but there are no fireforks
Yes! Nice wide paths. You may have to go around a little farther to see the gorillas, but you can still get to them.
We are open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Its the same but i highly recommend the season pass if you plan on going more than once
Absolutely, we have reptiles on view in three buidlings in our herpetology area as well as outdoor exhibits and also our Wee Play Adventure buildings-and we're planning an amazing new reptile learning center that will open in 2020!
We do not have Dollar Days on our event calendar for 2018.
For that much, id suggest talking to the girls in the booth about a yearly pass. The children maybe free but adults are $20 each plus parking $5. A yearly pass was $100 (about) and free parking. You can use it for many of the larger zoos that are connected.
They have strollers. Single or double. Not sure on prices tho
We're kind of partial to Zoo Knoxville. ;)
Adults ages 13-64 are $19.95, children ages 4-12 and seniors are $16.95 and under 4 is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. And we do offer annual passes that are a great value!
$20 plus tac for adults and $17 plus tax for kids
Scooters are $30 plus tax and can be rented at our front gate.
Stephanie, we currently have a new cafe under construction, but it is on the outside perimeter of zoo grounds and shouldn't impact our guests greatly.
Great question.
Yes, $2 off admission when you purchase the day of your field trip. Just tell them what school you are with.
That would he a question for the keepers all the animals have names
We are indeed open rain or shine, but if it does happen to rain on your visit, we will happily issue you a rain check!
Unless it's to cold for some of the animals everything is. The splash pad is the only thing not open
Zoo Knoxville and Louisville Zoo have a reciprocal agreement that allwlows members of the other's zoo a fifty percent discount. I think the free reciprocals are a thing of the past. 50% discount. Not free.
The whole day, unless it rains. If you go 2 times in one season, better to buy a season pass that's good all year.
What Ernie Mertins said is right, but you also pay about $3 in parking. Check places like Groupon to try and find some discounts. Though, when we went, it seemed like tickets were cheaper when we got them in persom, about $10 or so in fact. Call and ask.

Sorry i have no idea.. Give them a call
There is a discount for teachers but it is not free. You need to show proof that you work in the school system when you purchase your tickets at admissions.
10. It is also $1 admission. If you haven't already purchased your ticket / tickets online it is sold out for today. They had some left for Sunday last i heard. They did ticket sales online because they only had a limited amount of tickets available ti keep it from being over crowded
No you dont have to buy the tickets online, you can place the order over the phone and the tickets will be at Will Call. Or you can go purchase tickets directly at the zoo box office.
I recommend if you plan to go more than twice a year to get a year pass
Three hours is about right for us when we take our four year old granddaughter
We went Thursday and saw a few but we were also early. Most of the zoo is closed off, however.
In addition to the farm area and camel rides, there is a stand from which you can feed the giraffes. Not quite petting them, but darn close. Makes for some great pictures!
$19.95 per adult, $16.95 per child or senior, and $5 for parking (per car).
They are undergoing construction for habitats that will be ready to open in 2018. The weather is supposed to be sunny with a high of 84 and a low of 64 on Saturday in Knoxville.
The tickets aren't dated, i know that much. We our members and have had friends accompanying us on several occasions. They are basically "admit one" with no date. They may have a 90 day policy, but I've never heard of it if they do...
No. They do not, per the website and a rep when I called the contract is number the site provides.
Please always check to web site or call.
$19.95 adult $5.00 parking Sunday 9 to 5
