I'm not exactly sure but it is expensive as space is limited.
how many ppl can your campsite accommodate. I have a family reunion of 250 ppl
Spruces is open. Camped there last weekend unless something changed the last few days. Their front building is closed a lot because of staffing. You just have to find a person on a golf cart.
I'd recommend stopping just before spruces at the Jordan pines trailhead, there's a few spots there that will have sledders out usually on the weekends.
Can you camp without fees if you have rv that has it's own stuff like power, water, etc
Depends on which site number you choose. Doubles are more expensive but they do have more room. Singles are cheaper. They charge in the same way hotels do, per night. Check with the website for the details and what's available. If you do plan to go. I highly recommend to in a hike up to donut falls. That's pretty fun but really hot.
One of the best ways is to contact the people who run it and ask. I think you can call them. Another way is to drive around the camp ground and look for empty sites and ask the hosts about them. The hosts usually go around in golf cart go carts. What Cindie said is also true.
IIRC, if you reserve a Friday online you must also reserve the Saturday as well. I don't know if you can call and make a custom arrangement. I strongly recommend reserving as there is a ton of walk in competition, and it is usually full when I have been there.
There is also an easy trail on the north side of the highway about .0.7 miles before you get to Solitude. A small stone marks the trailhead. It is steep at first but then levels out after a quarter mile.
Because people are going camping for peace and quiet. The most annoying thing in the world is people rolling in late at night looking for campsites shining headlights everywhere.
If you want to avoid that go camping in BLM country where there are no Gates but you don't get the benefits bathrooms and firewood Etc.
Yes but spruces have no day use. It’s a campground camp sites are 26$ so your pass would be 13$. But that’s for the campsite extra cars are 8$ wood is 6$ bundle and they have ice for 2$ a bag
