Response to Sweetwaters Comment: I have left two voicemails expressing my concerns. I left my cell phone number AND apt # in my voicemails. Yet, the office did not return either call. I recorded both voicemails so do not attempt to assert that I have not reached out. Additionally, the only "notice" you have given residents is 1 email and 1 "coffee and donuts with cops" event. You are aware that multiple perpetrators, when detained by police, were found to be in illegal possession of handguns! Your solution to the ongoing risk to Sweetwater residents was donuts with cops and an email??? Do something that will actually mitigate the risk of me going out to my car at night and getting shot by a carjacker by doing something reasonable. You could install motion sensor lighting, hire a security guard, install additional cameras, put up a gate. October 6 UPDATE: 3 more vehicles have been stolen since my last review. My husbands car was broken into last night. August 2022: Stay away. 7 vehicles have been stolen in the last two weeks alone. We were walking back from the dock tonight and saw an officer. He said he was here for another stolen vehicle report. The apartment staff has done nothing to address the criminal activity. It’s not a safe place and it’s not worth the rent.

Totally crashed the apartment life event for the free food and was really impressed with the hospitality from Megan and Ruth. If I ever make the move to Charleston I will definitely be at sweet water.

Love the location, amenities and my apartment. New ownership hit some bumps, but seem to be making an honest effort to keep up the quality of the complex. I’ll post a new review in a couple of months
