I have been living at Westlight for a few months. I have never had so many issues in such a short amount of time. I have never put in so many maintenance requests. I’ve had to put in for a clog sink twice broken garbage disposal oven light and put in three times to have them fix the hot water in my shower. My washer and dryer combo takes anywhere from 3 to 7 hours and I was told by maintenance that’s just how it is. The first and second time with my hot water I was told the same thing. Maintenance has barged into my house without knocking a few times. And then had the nerve to rush me as I’m trying to scramble to put on clothes. I came home from traveling yesterday and was completely locked out of my apartment I called the emergency hotline and never even received a call back. I emailed management and still have not even received an email back. When I applied for the place I was told I’ll be on the first floor of course the day I moved in I was on the second period which gave my movers issues. There was a wasp nest under the stairs and my movers had to wait on my dime for management to come and clear it out. Maintenance did remove the Wasp nest but they had to wait for wasp spray. The woman at the front desk came back and handed my movers the spray. That is ridiculous my movers were terrified it’s not their responsibility. I ended up paying double what I was planning to pay for the move. The way it’s set up everyone uses their back door as an entrance so you have to walk in through the kitchen. I have not received a key to my front door. There’s a code to get into the building to get to your front door and the front office didn’t even know what it was.

The application and move in process, and apartment were phenomenal and it wasn't a long drawn out process .The Property manager Mrs.Kelly and Shay were nothing short of amazing. The apartments are nicely updated and grounds are well kept.

My son and I had the extreme pleasure of touring this property and a model unit. If there’s a such thing as Disney hospitality at an apartment complex, this was it!! The grounds were clean and kept, the model was modern, clean and cared for…as it should be. However, from the people we encountered before even meeting and touring, to the staff and property manager, Erika, that we met while there; it was inviting and we felt a strong sense of community warmth that you don’t always get anymore. Erika, was knowledgeable about the area and it’s offerings; eager to answer ALL of our questions and provided her information in case we had more. She was honest and upfront about expectations for the application process and while I don’t believe she resides there, made us feel like it would be her pleasure to have us as neighbors; never made it feel like she was at work doing us a favor by showing us around. Finding a new home can be a daunting and overwhelming task, so you always want to find a place that feels like a home and community that you can see yourself in, with like minded people but enough diversity to grow with you as we “do life.” That was my take away from touring Westlight Apartments. Clearly, the staff has been thoughtful and deliberate in who they accept as tenants there but it is obviously for the benefit of maintaining that sense of community and hospitality that they provide pre-application…protecting their brand ) just like Disney and other major brand outfits do!! I have submitted my application and regardless of the outcome, I would still give the exact same review.

DO NOT MOVE IN THESE APARTMENTS!!! WARNING! If i could give a ZERO rating I would. The property manager at these apartments (Erica Kelly) is a lier, manipulator, and VERY rude and disrespectful. Mrs.kelly lied to my husbands face about some movers she had hired that stole his property. My husband went in to the leasing office to ask mrs kelly about her workers and she lied to my husband face saying ("We do not know who they are, we dont hire them) i had to call the police and the marshals. We made a report with a officer about the stolen property and the officer even questioned on why erica kelly was acting the way she was (inhumane). the officer asked for us to call to get the number for corporate and mrs kelly was trying to talk her way around it saying she did not know the number and she instead gave us the number to a regional manager named Hugh Nelson. We called to speak to mr nelson to get some help. While explaining what had happened Hugh decided to tell us that ("You must have miss understood what she said"(about Erica Kelly)). instead of being accountable and taking responsibility and apologizing he decides to try and make it seem as if we didnt hear what erica said to us. We then asked mr Nelson about the worker they have hired and he explained it to us that Yes in deed they hire a company to come out there and do the job. Mr Nelson stated "if you arent residents of the complex we do not have to help you." Fast foward the conversation went nowhere with Hugh Nelson but he did get his boss to call us. Donna Collins was the last person we spoke to and she above both Hugh Nelson and Erica Kelly they should both be fired for horrible inhumane customer service.
