I was working through the stress of admitting a friend to this facility and the leadership team was extremely helpful.

Travel nurse review: The facility was clean. The residents were well cared for. All medication and supplies were readily available. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My only complaint (which is very important to my healthcare standards) Is the hall that I worked on had no air-conditioning. It’s not that the air-conditioning was broken, it is an ongoing problem that everyone has a seemingly adjusted it to. When I asked about the air-conditioning I was told that it’s always hot on the this particular unit. When I asked someone in management about the air-conditioning they said that the residents complained of being cold at night time so the air automatically adjust to a warmer temperature. The residents have fans in their room to cool them…. I was literally sweating as I administered medications. Other healthcare workers were sweating as well. This is completely not acceptable! I felt dirty and sticky from perspiring. This made me very uncomfortable. It’s also Counterproductive for good infection control. For this reason I will not be returning to work at this nursing home, which is a shame because otherwise I had a positive experience.

Our family experience with Sadie G. Mays has been wonderful. The staff is caring and certainly patient. Above all, they are all professional and full of empathy. No matter when I popped in, things were always in order and there seemed to be a smile on every face. Including security! I especially like that they follow protocols and ensure patient safety. I highly recommend this sweet place if your loved one is ever in need ..or if you wish to donate.

My brother was a patient at the facility for approximately two years. He was bedridden after suffering from a massive stroke. His caregivers were patient with him and provided his medications and grooming needs as needed. Anytime there was a change in his mental or physical status, the family was immediately notified. They gave suggestions on how to best engage with him and his condition. There were many activities available for all of the residents during the month. Monthly meetings were held with staff members to discuss any change in his behaviour or physical health. I was pleased with his care that was provided by the staff. de

You can request a private room but the center has specific requirements. They Admission Director will inform you. Both my parents are residents [on the same room] and I have spent the night with them on many occasions. The staff was very accommodating.
