Fair Review - Wife and I moved from Oakland, CA to NM. We were promised a move-in-ready apt. Day we arrived after driving for 2 days… there were: tools screws on the floor, unfinished work, REEKED of cigarette smoke (which front desk DEANNA S. stated “oh it must have been the workers” - which are NOT supposed to smoke INSIDE on the job), garbage disposal didn’t work, unfinished paint work on 50% of walls, yellow stains on ceiling and walls which indicates previous tenant was smoker, and kitchen looked nothing like the example photos they gave. *My wife and I were preparing to take them to small claims court due to Breach Of Contract. Hope V., property manager, was able to correct most of the unfinished work, example, they repainted. Issue with this is.. we couldn’t unpack and get settled in for 1-2 weeks. It took them 3 months to finish most things. We are currently at 4 months.. and They still haven’t fixed the broken window, which is a state violation: it has to be corrected in 7 days due to fire safety. I give 2 stars because Hope V. was trying to work with us, even though Sierra Meadows lied to us. In addition to repainting they did try to work with us and replace the kitchen cabinet fronts/add a backsplash - but they never would have done this without us fighting for it. We wanted to get what we were paying for. Culture - gunshots heard every week from 12am-5am, neighbors fighting, screaming, and cursing (called the cops 4 times and 24/7 hot line 3 times), someone got held up and stole vehicle last week. Again, I’m from the Bay Area.. but god damn.. people are animals here. Neighborhood - within the last 2 years, I think 5 people have died: 1 from a fire, 3 from gun shots, and 1 killed themselves in Bd. 24 Apt 3 (Google it). The apts are really close to main road, LOUD CARS, you hear them EVERY night revving their stupid engines. Seems like the NE would be nice area, but it’s crime central. We are planning to break lease and get the f*** out of here. This information is to help future tenants so they can make the best decision for themselves.

Professional and dependable management and maintenance. Very nice units and well-kept pool and property. Accepts my pets, within their policy. You'll be respected best when you're respectful first, ...and pay rent/utilities on time. All units are being upgraded! It's nice. After 7 years here, I'm sad to move, but life is moving me out.. lol. Don't forget, no one and nothing in life is prefect, be flexible when necessary. Enjoy!

When we first moved in, my grandbaby was very young, and we also didn't know what apartment we we're even moving into, with a new babygirl it would have been better to live on the top floor, and when we complained about it waking up my grandchild, they told us that's apartment living, very sarcastic like, and we have lived here almost 2 year's now, and they still won't open the pool, and everything else is opening now. One of the biggest reasons we moved here was for the pool. And they make it look so good for you when they want to make a sale. And hardly ever fix anything around here either, and paying over a thousand dollars every month.
