Excellent front office and doctors. They have been consistently efficient and professional, and both doctors I have had for annual skin checks and follow-up have been professional, thorough, and explained everything.

Dr. Higham is thorough and thoughtful, and explains things clearly. She makes an effort to get to know her patients outside of their specific medical issue, and is friendly and kind. Everyone at the practice is professional, friendly, and upbeat. Highly recommend!

After learning that our dermatologist at another practice was retiring, my husband and I met with Dt. Sullivan to discuss a skin problem one of us was having and to decide if we wanted to continue using her services. We both were so pleased with our first experience with her! Dr. Sullivan is very easy to communicate with and is obviously very knowledgeable. We will feel confident returning to her in the future.

I was a new patient and I really liked it. The place is very clean, I felt very comfortable and safe, as I did a fully body melanoma skin check. They were very helpful with any questions I had. They were all very friendly and wish I knew about this place earlier. I recommend this place for everyone!

Hi Mark, Thank you for your questions. We have had administrative difficulty in taking that insurance package combination in the past. It is unclear when we will be able to take that combination in the future. In terms of our location, we are situated in the 900 Building in Cummings Center (same building as Acapulcos) and see patients Monday thru Friday. We have been at this location for 5 years! Regards, MassDerm Staff
No, we do not take Mass Health at this time.
Massachusetts Dermatology Associates takes Unicare GIC.
Depends on the type of Tufts - no masshealth plans
Yes, all of our MDs have extensive experience in treating psoriasis. Dr. Jordan Cummins has special expertise in narrowband ultraviolet light treatments (NBUVB treatments) for psoriasis.
Anhidrosis is an uncommon condition, and although we are able to assess this condition, it is not currently a condition that we specialize in.
Hi Debby, If you have a changing spot that you are concerned about, I (or one of my colleagues) would be happy to see you next week. Please call the office and ask to be added to my (or another provider's) schedule as a "one lesion" appointment. Since this appointment would be added on to an already full schedule, we would not be able to do a full skin exam at that time, but we could examine the spot(s) of concern on your face during that appointment. Best, Jordan Cummins
Thank you for your question. Our approach to brown or "dark" spots depends on the specific lesion(s) in question. Some dark spots are appropriate for laser and others are not. We would recommend that before you go to have dark spots treated by laser that you have them evaluated by a dermatologist to make sure laser is the most appropriate treatment. If a laser (or light-based) procedure is considered safe and appropriate by a dermatologist in our practice then we will suggest you have a discussion with our nurse regarding the recommended procedure and associated out-of-pocket cost for the specific lesion(s) being treated.
Hi Frankie, This can be a difficult problem to "cure", however, we have had good success with a variety of treatments. It is important to keep in mind that "shave bumps" can tend to be a chronic condition. Depending on where the bumps are located, sometimes laser hair removal can be a permanent or semi-permanent solution. We would be happy to evaluate and give you advice on potential treatment options.
