Long Hill is a beautiful picnic spot in the spring. The facility is undergoing rapid enhancements, therefore I believe it will only continue to improve. The garden is beautiful regardless of the season you visit. I enthusiastically endorse a trip to this historic and gorgeous place.

My husband and I got married at Long Hill in October 9, 2021. From the very beginning, we were in love with the venue - we are long-time fans of the Trustees and were so happy they were revitalizing this property and opening it up for events. The manager, Jared, was so kind, flexible, and knowledgeable throughout the process, answering our questions and taking the time to make sure our day was perfect. Thank you for the best wedding ever!

Long Hill is a lovely place for a picnic in the spring. The facility is undergoing improvements at a rapid pace, so I think it will only get better and better. The garden is gorgeous no matter what time of year you visit. I highly recommend a visit to this historic and beautiful property.

An exceptional example of an "English" style garden from the last century in the middle of New England. Great walks in the surrounding woods, and really kind staff.

Yes, on leash, can get ticks if you go into the woods or big cut field (apple-orchard). I stay on the drive and walk up around the mansion and gardens.

Are the paths wheelchair friendly?

Waiyan Ma | Aug 31, 2018

No. There is a paved road leading to the house, but not around the garden. The main loop of the hiking trails is not steep, but far from wheelchair friendly.
