Best Pizza and Calzone. The cheese in calzone melts in the mouth and the garlic in between the cheese is so beautiful. The pizza and crust is gorgeous. Worth the wait, if you can make it.

Unpleasant. Not worth the effort. There is literally a red rope to get into the door. The pizza is okay, the staff treats people terribly and the experience is unnecessary. How hard is it to just be pleasant to customers? The woman running the front treats customers so poorly- there are other better pizza places in NYC that take pride in their work and make the experience pleasant. Safe your money, go to rubirosa

Special pizza.

From “reservations” to payment the entire experience was horrible. For reservations, the tables are gone by 4:45, if u want something relatively close to opening you have to come by 3:00 on a day that isn’t a (federal) holiday The “pie” itself is an objective 4/10 because of the way the food is fixed in the media as some sort of upscale exclusive pizzeria. When it arrives at the table you are greeted with pepperoni and not true Italian salami, the cheese looks like some sort of white soup, the dough is very much some sort of ratio similar to a flour tortilla. And don’t even get me started on the wilting/rotting basil I was served with a 60$ order. The only thing elevated about this dish is the dough fired in a pizza oven. Don’t bother with the calzone, it’s just a pound of (curded[with a strange liquid deposit?]) mozzarella wrapped in a flour tortilla. Payment is probably the most shady. They ONLY accept cash and if the hostess doesn’t skim some cash off the top (like with me) you’re gonna need a receipt when leaving. I’m not surprised the queue hasn’t improved after some time because every chef/cook would be appalled at the prices commanded with the quality of food that’s served. In short don’t buy a pizza from a guy with no prior history of working/cooking in a pizzeria P.S: Lids for the marinara should already be brought out with the container and not some make shift aluminum foil shroud, and I still ate the pizza

Cups provided
If you just get the plain cheese pie with no toppings (delicious and the chef's recommended anyway) you should be good. Though its not certified or anything.
Yes, after you get your name on the list you can leave and come back for your seating time . I recommend a margarita at Bar Bruno!
Yeah
Stand in line. Then go down the street and have a drink wait for a call
That's correct. Best pizza amd calzones I've ever had, though.
Yes. You should be able to sit at a table for 2
Yes it is busy almost every night. It a small place. You could leave your name at the door have a drink around the corner
I don't think so. It's strictly cash only.
No
They are doing outdoor dining with same day reservations starting at 4pm or walk in.
I don't think so
No they do not.
I'm sure they could but check with them when you call to place the order. If not plenty of people in line that might, and a few grocery stores around too.
I was there yesterday but didnt say anything about being closed July 4th. Call them a few times cause there phones are super busy. They'll answer.
It's an old fashion way. Not very flexible.
Beef!
No reservations. Gotta wait in line. They start taking names around 4:45.
Get there for 3.30 if you want to get a sitting for 6.30 or 7.30. They open the door at 5.45 and the start taking reservations then. The calzone is the best I've had. They don't take reservations.
Before 4 as you have to wait until 5 to put your name down and your position in line also affects when you will get a table. Also the bigger the party you have the longer you're going to have to wait.
Wait on line like half hr before opening, they take your order, then tell you what time to come pick up- at least 3 hrs. Yup... 3-4 hrs for a pie... Cash only too.
He is often there, yes.
Looks like 00 on the shelf
Take F train to Carroll Street and walk from there it's a 9 min walk
Scottos is great and there's also a place at Henry and Degraw that's good and close by.
3:59. So you beat the people who show up at 4
No, we took turns going to the corner store for beer while waiting in line. 5 in our party I was the one in line when they started taking names.
Yes but there's still a wait. If you order at 7, be prepared to pick up at 9
Just dont get pepperoni.
I don't know if you can call ahead but normally you show up and out in an order and they'll tell you when it'll be ready. It's possible you'll order at 7 but can't pick up until 9 if it's super busy
Yeah cash only, they're legit running a shady classic operation. You stand in line for two hours only to MAYBE get a table for two, and then it's cash only. I kinda respect the"f off" attitude of it all.
Nope
Unfortunately, as of the time we went, they don't take reservations any other way. I don't work for them though so things could've changed. Try calling them before the actual day you wanna go.
Tuesday at 830. 15 min wait max and service will be fast.
Right around the corner is an affordable wine shop, you can get a decent bottle of red.
Lucali does take reservations on Resy, but it is still extremely hard to land a reservation. Slots are only opened up for two weeks out and fill up extremely quickly. It's also unclear when new days are added. But after checking Resy frequently for a month or two, I was able to land a Resy spot a few weeks ago.
No
First come first serve. No reservations. Names are taken down starting 5pm and a time to return given. Come as early as possible.
You can reserve on resy. They changed it lately. Last year they didnt take reservations. Place is always packed so definitely need to reserve !
