Friendly, polite, efficient. It's hard to believe that this place is a DMV but I've never found it any other way. Don't put up with neighboring counties... This is the place.

Went to this friendly DMV this morning. Uncrowded, friendly, clean. Done quickly. DMV actually located in modern building next to this one shown. Will use this office again!

Madison County DMV was amazing. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The ladies that helped me were very nice and very helpful. They went above and beyond to make my experience better.

Employees are very nice, helpful, and great to deal with. Make the process quick and easy, and are very professional. The DMV process was always my least favorite and I dreaded it until I started going to the Madison County DMV. I go to the DMV all the time, will never go to another.

There's no set time for a DMV employee to go to lunch , however if you want to get things done online , that's always a better idea than to go when they are swamped
315 366 2615 is the wampsville fax number..
Currently in NY State according to the governor office , it's best to do what you can online , including license renewal , NY DMV will be closed until April instead of reopening in March due to the state of emergency , drivers license will not expire until further notice as well ( extended for up to 60 days depending on type of license , always better to make appointment online and it will give you more information
No sir
If you print out forms and drop off they are pretty fast on the turn around and they call to verify funds available before charging you. I got my trailer plates within 4 days.
I do not remember what is involved but I will bet a ton of paperwork.
Yes. I'm from Utica and opted for the WAY less busy Madison DMV to go to. In and out in 5 minutes
Its at Wilbur Duck Chevy on side nearest oneida post office and city buildings. Will be given when you set up appointment anyway
Idk call them they will tell u
You have to fill out a form at dmv bring your birth certificate and proof af address and the dumb 7 point system they require and then you will be able to replace your license
Go to post office change address then go to dmv and show proof of the address change and fill out the form of course and they will help you from there
On their website: "Madison County residents are welcome to enter the DMV in Wampsville without an appointment. All resident of neighboring counties are required to have an appointment to access the DMV in Wampsville."
No but you can email Michael Keville and he will answer your question really quick.
I don't know what the official process is however, I would revisit the DMV with something to prove your new address. They'll let you know if you need anything different.
Why are you asking a question of the Madison County DMV when you are using the state DMV web site? If you want your money to stay local drop the registration, the money needed to register the machine and a way to reach you in the drop box. If they need more from you they will let you know. It's important for all to know NYS DMV website is not designed or managed by local DMV offices. It's managed by Albany. There in its self is a problem.

I received motorcycle plates in Two Business days.
They will call you a day of so. Its a drive through and Normal between a 1/2 hr span so when the do the line gets full fast!
Try to call DMV in Albany or make an appointment online to go and talk to them
You can set up an appointment online to go into the office or if you dont need to be seen use the blue drop box in the parking lot.
There is a drop off box outside the entrance doors.
If you filled out the transfer section on the title, yes. You'll have to complete the process with the dmv to get a title so you can resell the vehicle. If you only had the seller sign the title, you can resell right away. White out voids the title, so definitely don't try that, you'd need the previous owner to get a replacement title and that's opening yourself up for potential problems.
Use the following method to replace the lost title. https://dmv.ny.gov/replace-title-certificate
Download the form MV82, fill it out and mail it in with the payment. According to the DMV the fee for a title only is $50. Send in a money order with the paperwork. Madison County DMV does have a drop box in the parking lot to save having to wait for the mail to deliver it.
I want to get an enhanced license. What documents do I need to bring with me?
Search what forms you need, I'm guessing MV 82, and whatever proofs you need. Double check with your insurance agent. Go to their office and have then print out a fresh copy of insurance ID card, might even have form for dmv. Bring whatever you got to DMV along with a scanned and printed front and back picture of newest license. (theres a post office across the street from Madison DMV to do so). Fill out credit card info, let them write costs in. At the DMV, all of the forms you need should be on a table in case you miss anything. The officer will tell you whether or not u have everything in order. Once you do, you can put everything into a big envelope (also at post office) and place in blue drop off box outside DMV. It's all easier, and more hassle free than you think, GL.
How do if apply for vanity plates
Yes just got to go there and walk in should be on the table with the paper work if not can always ask the police man and they will give you one
Due to covid they dont except phone calles either make an appointment on line to go the the dmv desk or drop a paper with the question and number in blue dmv drop box witch is outside
Better check with DMV. Why not have him call and make a appointment. Quick and easy.
You need to prove who you are. I am almost positive you have to make a appointment and go to DMV in person.
I wasn't able to make my first appointment. I made another appointment (also wasn't able to CANCEL first appointment) and everything was fine. My advice, just make another appointment.
So long as you have all the paper work in order.
You'll have to go through the front doors and let them know that you need a retail sales form
Yes you can. You have to fill out the same form that you fill out or a vehicle or trailer and you can swap plates. Idk how much it is but youre basically keeping the plates on another vehicle. So you should be able to.
They can let you know oved you go on their websight
Go onto www.madisoncounty.dmv.com. or try dmv.org.madison county
Check their website, potentially no. You may be able to drop them in the blue drop box out in the parking lot
Go online to madison county dmv website and choose from there renew your licence. It should actually say permits and licence. Click on that and make an appointment.
In some states the dmv will allow you too do a replacement title and or registration..Look for all or some of your paper work or even pix of the trailer with the license plate number.. Right at this time though the dmv will probably make you jump through hoops bc they're so busy. But you can call or. Go in and grab a registration and fill out LOST Title.. They can give you better answers then i can at this time bc again of the virus.. But if all is well and you have some papers you should be good. Next time always make copies of the title, registration and whatever else you have to hand in just incase something like this happens again.. Good luck..! Also they mite have your paperwork still on file so i would ask them 1st too check they're computer..
I believe you will have to go and stand in line. They will bring you in.
No you must put in drop box they will call u when its ready you need to pay with credit card you will need to photo copy front and back of license and cc
Yes that is correct your name and bank account information
I would call. I don't think they do it at the DMV. I took mine in new Hartford by the mall. I know you can take it online. Not 100% sure of they do it there though.
,using a credit card. They call with the amount when ready Still waiting day 1
Appointments can be made if you are a resident of Madison County. Otherwise use the drop box.
My transaction took @ 2 business days. In my case a represenative called me and asked if I wanted platess mailed, or would I be picking them up? I picked them up.
Yes
Probably not because of it being a federal holiday..
I believe normal business hours. I believe that they open at 9 am.
Old license if possible , if you are getting the new enhanced license , you will need the following items 1, current social security card ( unless you are a undocumented immigrant ) 2. Utility bill showing name and address 3. Current passport 4. Roll of toilet paper
The real allows you to fly domestically in the us and allows you in federal government buildings such as social security office. The enhanced does the same, but also allows you to travel by land or sea to Canada or Mexico and some cruises.
Anyone can turn them in. Just need $1 per set & the last name.
Yes!
You may want to call.
Proof address, birth certificate, Social Security and I believe it is still 16.
Buy your birthday

Open on Election day, closed on Veteran's day.

The DMV is open as usual. The temporary entrance is on the East side of the bldg, as opposed to the normal west side that is closest to the courthouse.
No they are not... Monday threw Friday 8:30 to 4:30
This location does and is very friendly compared to any other locations within a 40mile radius. Many people actually drive out of their way to come to this office.
