Search what forms you need, I'm guessing MV 82, and whatever proofs you need. Double check with your insurance agent. Go to their office and have then print out a fresh copy of insurance ID card, might even have form for dmv. Bring whatever you got to DMV along with a scanned and printed front and back picture of newest license. (theres a post office across the street from Madison DMV to do so). Fill out credit card info, let them write costs in. At the DMV, all of the forms you need should be on a table in case you miss anything. The officer will tell you whether or not u have everything in order. Once you do, you can put everything into a big envelope (also at post office) and place in blue drop off box outside DMV. It's all easier, and more hassle free than you think, GL.

Depending on how long ago you renewed your registration, it may not show up on the police computer as valid yet. On the off chance that an officer noticed the expired registration, they could indeed issue you a ticket. The good news is that once you recieve the new reg the courts will dismiss the ticket. You will not need to pay any fine. The issuing municipalities court clerk can help walk you through that process if need be.

Go online and print the form you need. There's a drop box outside to put the registration, fill out and include the payment (a check or money order is preferred but there is a section that you can put credit card information.) You can find the cost for renewing the registration on the DMV site. After you have that done, put it in an envelope and drop it in the drop box. Or you can mail it in, but that can take longer.
