I BELIEVE! I dreaded being sent to this location in the past. Backups onto the street, confusion on lot, wait times, errant closures.
NOW it is clean, organized, efficient, and quick. It was a good trip to the dump!

This seems to be the one thing that the Mayor has got right…and that’s the City Dump! It is very well run and organized!

Questions & Answers
Can I dump old furniture?
Tyrone Cromwell | Oct 20, 2018
Karen Monken | Oct 20, 2018
Yes, they take old furniture that would otherwise need to be on a bulk trash pick up.
You can put bushes, grass, leaves and small tree branchs in the regular trash can or sit it in the front of the trash cans. That's what I do with mines.
Sisson Streets is a transfer station. What you bring in,and get rid of will then be transferred to a landfill, recycled,or sent to the correct and specific processing center for that specific material. This is not a dump.

7 years ago I was not allowed to use the solid waste yard because I rented a U-haul truck (it disqualified as a "commercial vehicle"),but on every subsequent visit I have witnessed people being allowed to bring U-haul trucks. Has this rule changed?

They don't take them at all, only unmodified personal vehicles, two loads a day. The Reisterstown Rd station is more relaxed, but I'd call them first.

Can I take there some concrete
I am redoing my driveway and the contractor needs to dump the old concrete there. It will be a truck only

The best to take it to Potts & Callahan on Monument Street if you take it to the dump they're going to charge you tonnage weight only difference is they're not open on the weekend Potts & Callahan open on Monday morning
There is a limit of 2 trips per day. Commercial dumping is not allowed. This is a service for city residents only. County municipal dumps will accept construction waste. To my knowledge no exceptions are made for landlords.
For non-commercial, plain ordinary Baltimore citizens there are no fees I'm aware of. However proof of residency [photo id] can be demanded from time to time.
