Check in went quickly and Elsa helped me combine my personal reservation to a work sponsored room I switch to later in the week so I don’t even have to move rooms. Definitely will be staying here in my future trips to the city.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel is the location. The staff were unhelpful or as we were told, unable to help - as an example, our iron was broken and we needed a replacement. It took hours and several requests to get one. We were told that maintenance is covered by an outside company because of union issues, so no one at the hotel could advise us on when we would get a replacement. Checkin was a nightmare. We showed up early and they stored our luggage (which was a smooth process), and were told we would get a text when our room was ready. This text never came. When we eventually gave up waiting and went back to the front desk (after 4pm which is checkin time) we had to wait in the longest line and took us 40 minutes to finally get our room. The lounge was a disaster (and doesn’t open until 5pm). The bartender and server clearly hate each other and were complaining about each other under their breath but within ear shot of the patrons. We went to the lounge twice and each time service took forever and we were given other patrons drinks multiple times. The elevator situation is ridiculous. It sometimes took 15+ minutes just to get to the lobby/our room. On the last day we were basically harassed by the cleaning staff to leave the room well before checkout. At one point the manager barged into our room while I was in my underwear. The room (premier king) itself was fine, but definitely felt like it needed an update - bad paint job, shabby carpet. Not worth the price, we will not return.

You can get a complimentary coffee machine if you ask for it , but they do not guarantee that it will be available. Then on arrival, remember to remind them about your polite request and you may get it.

Good he could not be if they have rooms available, 2 * blocks away is Carnegie Café they do some rich and large breakfasts and if you like Turkish food, Arabic is going to west Aba Turkish Rest Ricas lamb chops.
When you get at the airport, make sure you get a yellow cab DONT take another kind of lift, they will overcharge a lot, we took one and charged us $220.00 from airport to hotel, it is ridiculous.

New York has a lot of good breakfast options. I would recommend take a walk around the hotel, there are plenty of breakfast options from cart vendors to delis to special pastry shops
