I generally have positive things to say about the game commission, but not this time. I sent a letter to the Harrisburg Headquarters Law Enforcement Division asking for clarification on a trapping law. Travis called me back and gave me a clear voicemail. I asked if he could send a response to me via letter or email in case I had an issue and to prove it to my hunting partners. Travis stated, "I am not going to take the time to draft an email or letter to a simple game law question." How arrogant can you be? Isn't the job of the law enforcement division to enforce laws and respond to hunter inquiries?

I went through the hunter Education Course in Erie County. I received a card with my wrong Midddle name on it! Human error August 21,2021. I need a new card, where do I report this! I left a message for James. Left a voicemail. Cant find where to report this! I am upset!

5 stars for Eduardo @ PGC today. It took me less than 4 minutes on call to rectify my non-delivered license and get another re-issued. Good job. Also, our Gamies seem to be well-mannered and striving to do their best in sometimes difficult circumstances, although the Fishies I can't say as much for, and I don't even fish...they could get some manners lol

Is grass send and hay Consider bait for deer if Archery is in 2 months ? Because I would like grass by the hunting blind.

Austin McElwee | Aug 17, 2022
Pennsylvania Game Commission Headquarters | Aug 17, 2022

Hi, Austin - thank you for the question. Spreading seed and hay with the intent to grow grass is not considered baiting. Regarding your question, Title 34 Game and Wildlife Code states "it is unlawful for any person to hunt or aid, abet, assist or conspire to hunt any game or wildlife through the use of any artificial or natural bait, hay, grain, fruit, nut, salt, chemical, mineral or other food as an enticement for game or wildlife, regardless of kind and quantity, or take advantage of any such area or food or bait prior to 30 days after the removal of such material and its residue."

Pennsylvania Game Commission Headquarters | Oct 16, 2021

Hi, Terry - thank you for asking! It is lawful to trap squirrels and relocate them. Landowners should contact the region office that serves the county where they are located before trapping nuisance wildlife. You may also refer to the "Nuisance Wildlife" page on our website for more information: https://www.pgc.pa.gov/Wildlife/Pages/NuisanceWildlife.aspx

Debra Lory | Oct 17, 2018
Garry Howe | Oct 17, 2018

They are suggesting to check the guts for signs of some disease. It would look like little white dots everywhere in the chest cavity. Aside from that, smother in butter and cook to medium. I hope you got a laugh from my first post :-)

What should you do before you eat the deer meat
