I'd like to point out the exceptional service from Sherry, who was extremely patient and diligent with me when scheduling many months of appointments. She was very professional and helpful, making the process much easier. - Jojo

I referred a patient to this lab who has sustained a TBI and had a complicated course with post-concussive syndrome. We had utilized every resource we had locally and then turned here for help. Unfortunately, my suspicion turned out to be correct. This is a facility that finds a way to charge you maximum prices by repeating all of what has been done already. I received a series of reports with no new information after sending my patient across the country and not a single attempt was made to discuss the case with me. I find that facilities such as this one tend to provide support, I'm sure, for certain people, but they will not turn you away when they don't have anything to offer. I do not see any benefit to this facility than using your local PCP and local therapists (PT, OT, ST, etc.). Needless to say, my patient and family were disappointed and frustrated when they returned home. They saw a Dr. Brkic who asked few questions and spent most of the time doing the talking. He offered no new insights or help. I would save yourself the cost and logistical headache and avoid this clinic.

Ever since I started my therapy for my lymphoma from breast cancer the care and support from my Therapist Melissa Gonzales has been amazing. I would highly recommend her & Shirley Ryan as a positive force. I can’t imagine going through something like this without her. Thanks Again Linda

My doctor sent over a referral for my daughter to have speech and OT therapy at the pediatric innovation center. When I called to schedule the evaluation I was told by a manager that their location isn’t good for children with autism because they don’t have private therapy rooms. They do therapy out in the open which can be overwhelming for autistic children. So, the nations supposed best rehab facility, with all state of the art equipment, and scientists and doctors designed a pediatric lab that they knew was going to offer therapy for children with developmental disabilities in a way that was not accommodating to autistic children. But wait there’s more. She said we are welcome to try, but they bill to insurance for so many months - so if it doesn’t work out, she won’t be able to go anywhere else until those months are over. You do what you will with that information.

my sister had a stroke 2 weeks ago. she has medicare and part b insurance. she is a former chicago high school teacher. her right side needs aggressive therapy and the hospital she is currently in (the ambulance took her there because it was the closest) does not seem to provide it. can she be transferred to your facility. do you have room for her, she asks. you were recommeded by leslie born who used to work for you.
That is a very good question I would contact the hospital Administration directly that way they can give you more information on this because any little bit helps they help those who are in need and do amazing things so even a dollar donation is enough to help someone

Yes, one with direct access to the hospital and one just north of the building.
Yes, there is a garage on the south side of the building. Make sure you get your parking pass validated otherwise it will cost you a fortune. With validation, it's only $11, if I remember correctly.
$11 IF you get your parking pass validated at the desk. Otherwise it's VERY expensive. I don't know how much it is without a validated ticket.
I recommend the allerton on Michigan avenue. Very nice hotel with great views if you ask the clerk at the desk that you want a room that looks out over Michigan avenue I'm sure she can arrange that. I stay there all the time.
Don't know for sure about tbi...but sral offers many many types of therapy and i bet tbi is one of them. Your best bet is to call them or ask social workers in hospital.
There are public visiting hours daily. Starting in morning lasting into evening. Check with them for exact hours as i do not recall details. There are very accommodating though.
Yes they accept it the problem is Medicaid dont want to pay
