Great spot. Campsites were perfect for our Rv and tent. The staff at the front office were cheerful and accommodating. It worked great to just keep the Rv parked and we took the free shuttle into Acadia NP or Bar Harbor. Kids loved the big pool too.

This is by far the best campground I have ever been to. I'm not going to lie, we came from Michigan 4th of July weekend, the no reservation policy scared the heck out of me. We got here early and got an awesome spot. They are so kind and inviting here. It's breath taking and very close to Arcadia National Park. The people that run this are super nice. It's so clean. I just can't say enough great stuff about this area and especially this campground!

We stayed two nights in a well treed site with our 32’ travel trailer. A great variety of sites and well kept amenities. On arrival the staff was super friendly and helpful. When we come back we will be staying here again.

Staff were wonderful over the phone and during my stay. I was a bit nervous since They don’t take reservations but there were plenty of camp sites to choose from. (Non peak stay in September ‘21) I camped in the woodsy s loop but there were spots with an ocean view (just more exposed and closer to the RVs) that I *might choose next time. Bathrooms were super clean and well lit, and available 24/7. Great spot to enjoy Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Bar Harbor CG is the closest to Acadia NP, only about two miles from the entrance. They do not take reservations, first come, first serve. Call them to check on their schedule or check their website. Very enjoyable CG, we were there for two weeks in June of this year.
Hi there, I live in the area by them. They don't open until Memorial weekend every year. Hope this helps...
Near the pool has the best views but you need to watch your weather your on top of the hill if there is a storm that comes up. The ones I speak of are too the left of the pool area. Some times you can grab another site if those are full and wait for someone to pack up and leave.
Shallow end is about 3 to 4 feet. Deep end is at least 7
They have a good WiFi. If you have a digital antenna you can get decent reception.
Just returned from BH Campground, has water and electricity at many sites. WIFI is good but not always in the trees, enjoy.
Sign says anytime after 8 am, and owner reassured that.
Looks like Oct 12, 2020. I liked this place. Very clean grounds and bathrooms. Staff was great to deal with. Quiet day and night. 👍
Close in October. Always get 7th day free is the only discount
I would find a campground the night before you want to be there close by. Get up early the day of and be ther 8ish and wait for someone to pack up. Best sites at the top with free blueberries
Because there are chances it might be closed? Also, it's not cash only.
they do not do reservation. it is first come, first serve all year round. they do recommend getting there asap, like 8am, to get a site. you can call ahead to see if sites are still available, and then try to get there before they are gone.
Yes it will accommodate your 35 footer. We had a lovely spot for our 42 foot 5th wheel. But it is closed for the winter now
Tent sites are less, we paid 40.00 for water and electric, very nice campground
