Bar Harbor CG is the closest to Acadia NP, only about two miles from the entrance. They do not take reservations, first come, first serve. Call them to check on their schedule or check their website. Very enjoyable CG, we were there for two weeks in June of this year.
Bar harbor camproung is a favorite! No reservations, but most likely spots available that late in the season. Rates are good, under $50 for most sites. Check the website for bar harbor campground to ensure they are open. They usually close on columbus day weekend
Bar Harbor CC is great. Bus pickd up at the entrance. 1st come on campsites, usually no issue. Cash or checks, no credit cards.
Stay 6 days you get the 7th Day free I think it was some $40 a night if I'm not mistaken
Very great and low rates. My go-to when traveling to My. Desert Island.
We paid $46/night for full hook-up in June. Not sure if rates change per season. Wonderful location and clean! Bonus-their laundromat is only $1.00 to wash or dry. You won't regret staying there...and yes, just like everyone else said, no reservations. Just gotta cross your fingers!
What is the best time to arrive to find a good full hook up site? Coming in on a Sunday or Monday in first werk of October.
