It is a Lighthouse on an island that you can only gain access to with a special permit. Tour boats will pass by it and you may see lots of seals, birds, etc. Photographers will need to bring a longer lense if they want to capture any seals, birds etc. Boats will not get close enough to get great wild life photos

Looking at the lighthouse on the island from the lobster boat, I saw three sea eagles sitting on the stair handle of the lighthouse.

You cannot visit without a permit but many cruises will bring you close by for pictures and observation of the historic light. We came by in June and observed seals and pups on the rocks sunning combine that with the views and it's well worth a drive by.
