I was training next door for motorcycle classes after 5pm next to this building. I dont know what goes on in this building but me and others heard very concerning noises of animals screaming NOT CRYING, abnormal screaming and then pure silence. It did not sound normal to me or others and i decided to make a review on this because this place does not sound like a good place for animals

Beautiful new place with lots of space when you walk in to the right is a widow with cats inside a play area

Another big time joke of Fresno county!

I complained on their Facebook page, but they deleted it, so that’s why I will post it on here. First of all, the workers that actually work with the animals in the kennels were nice and friendly, but the dispatchers and one of a supervisor were terrible at customer service and hate to answering questions. We were fostering to adopt 2 puppies for almost a month. We paid for the puppies food, crates, dogs’ houses, treats, and toys. So, we wanted the pups to get all their first shot of each vaccine done from the shelter and get neutered before we signed the adoption. I had to keep complaining in order to get all these things done as it states on their website, so that I can fully adopt the puppies! When we had questions, the front workers seemed like they don’t want to do their jobs, don’t want to look up for the information that I asked for. The workers, that talked to me on the phone, talked with attitude and talked over me. First, I had stopped myself from talking and let them talk, when they were done talking, it was my time to talk but they didn’t let me finish my sentences because they couldn’t handle it, I caught them laying and I called them out right in their face when they were rude to me. They got really mad when I talked to them the same way they talked to me. They said it was a waste of time answer my questions and told me to send the dogs back to them. They do not care of about the dogs. I just don’t understand why can’t they just be nice at work or stay home with that attitude. Right now, we adopted 2 puppies because we love the boys. The dispatchers and their supervisor treated us like they owned this organization themselves. More animals would be adopted if the shelter did not have these rude staffs. My advice to for them here: Give the adopters and foster parents respect first, and then you will get it back!!! Remember you do this job to help the animals, so drop your attitude.

If you tell them you have been taking care of the puppy they consider it yours & is no longer a stray however if you say you found it today they will simply take it with $0.
It's been Fresno Humane for at least the last 5 years. Not sure what you mean by is it the staff.
I am with South Bay Rabbit Rescue. Rabbits can no longer be sold in pet stores or feed stores. If you are looking for rabbits, please contact your local rabbit rescue.
Fresno Humane is a shelter, They are the Fresno county shelter. Fresno area has many local no-kill rescues as well.
Have you gotten rid of the dog yet???? There are places that only take city animals.... others take rural animals...
Yes it does. The cost will vary depending on whether the dog is licensed & current on her shots. Call the shelter to find out the cost.
First find out if it belongs to ash humanes if they do not go to spca but it is better to be in a place where they take care and can adopt
U have to make reports of excessive noise complaints to Fresno PD & get the case # & call the Fresno City Attorney It may take a little time to get some results. Also call Petsmart about a sonic bark controller that emits a noise that dogs can't stand but Humans can't hear it Hope this helps
Call Monday for a appointment. They will need to be in a cat trap.
They are not but please go into fresnohumane.org to see all animals in their care and found reports. It gets updated every hour.
We only offer appointments for feral (unfriendly/unhandleable cats) at this time. You would call our office on Monday mornings to check availability. This is part of our TNR program. You can learn about that on our website. If your cat is friendly you can contact the HOPE Animal Foundation to make an appointment for services. They have information listed on their website at hopeaf.com
You can ask the Fresno humane or the SPCA about organizations that do trap neuter release programs. TNR as it is known. However there are very few groups that will completely remove them from the area. Feral older cats are very hard to socialize and find homes for. The best most can do is stop them from breeding and creating more of a nuisance. Hope you find some help.
If its not her dog they shouldnt charge her give the number that pops up here a call they can help you Or spca they do.it too
Not sure but someone is going around poisoning our dog's in the neighborhood of E Street/Monterey, F/Monterey and throughout so they can steal. I called SPCA but unless they have a supect they say they can't do anything. What the heck. Police won't do anything either. I told them that's why they said call SPCA
No not at all! Here is the link to the website https://www.fresnohumane.org So many wonderful services for the animals in our community! Love this nonprofit!!!
The process is pretty quick. You can start by filling out the survey on our website. https://www.fresnohumane.org/adoption-survey and letting us know who you're interested in.
Yes they do have puppies, check on petfinder.com and locate one and reserve an appointment for faster results
If you take him down and surrender as a stray they will take. Must be from county and not city of Fresno. Do NOT take to SPCA, they are high high kill
Great question! I have fostered kittens and usually am able to adopt at 8 weeks.
Yes they do
I have only had my dogs fixed there and the price was reasonable
I would guess 16 with parents consent, I'm guessing a waiver would have to be signed. Or 18. Best bet call them.
Call Fresnohumane animal services. They will know what to do.
Not sure about the HS but the SPCA is also right around the corner from them.
Huskies are escape artists that make Houdini look like an amateur. That said post pictures if you already haven't on social media sites & go at least every few days to both Fresno Humane & the SPCA to see if he is at either facility. They are in the same vicinity. Good luck, hope you are reunited with him & keep us posted.
The cost of a dog license is $4 for dogs that are fixed. $39 for dogs that are not fixed. I couldnt seem to find the information for vaccines. Hope this helps. They do open at 10am if you want to call them. Best of luck to you
I know they sometimes have specials where it is $5 or free. Your best bet would be to stop by and ask, or call them. Thank you for planning ahead for your pet!
Contact any of the rescue organizations in this area. Avoid the SPCA unless you can handle animals being killed on an almost daily basis. Fresno Humane is run by Brenda Mitchell who is also the founder of Animal Compassion Team a no kill rescue. Also Valley Animal Center is another no kill rescue & is both cats & dogs. Just Google rescues in Fresno & you will find a long list of mainly dog rescues. If you can drive out to the Parlier area check out Cat House On the Kings. Go on You Tube to see this remarkable rescue located on 12 acres by the Kings River. Thank you for your compassion for our furbabies.
Yes they do, its on their website at fresno humane animal services.
My advice would be to go check out the shelter first & see if there is a dog that fits yiur family. Then you can ask all your questions. Best of luck finding your nee fur baby!!
The Fresno SPCA is one of the highest kill shelters in California. Don't you think it would be a lot easier to be responsible for your pet, or not get one at all if you can't be? Also very cheap spay and neuter at the Hope Foundation is also a remedy. It's a fact that the less educated a town or community is the worse the animal population. An animal is not a toy that you play with until you get tired of, it's a lifelong commitment as they are part of the family. They're not to be dumped out into the country for someone to find either, as they usually get hit before they find someone, and usually that someone takes them to the SPCA where they have a slim chance of finding a home before they are put to sleep. If your conscience doesn't bother you after you take your family pet to the SPCA, you don't have one... Remember, dogs are one of God's greatest gifts to us and he will judge us according to how we treat the most innocent...
Fresno Humane does the DAPP/ Parvo vaccine for 10$ and you can walk in any time during normal business hours.
Best advice would be to call HOPE & Fresno Humane Society. They would be the best to advice you on your options.
You need to call ask about it
If the puppy is from Fresno Humane Society they usually have a vet that checks them out and vaccines are given too, if not, go to your vet and they can evaluate your puppies age based on the teeth.
They can help you find a low cost spay/neuter.
I don't know I would call them and ask
