I set an appointment via email last week and a waited along with another young lady who was waiting at the gate entrance. A few minutes after my appointment time, an female employee arrived , walked by us waiting, and entered a side gate; once the lady entered she turned and only spoke to the other young lady waiting like I was, and let her in the gate. She then closed the gate and walked off into the building without even acknowledging I was standing there. I honestly felt racially mistreated and disgusted so I just decided to leave

Hi, Patty. Please visit our rehoming page for more information: http://www.pawsatlanta.org/resources/re-homing
PAWS will accept them. They are also a no kill shelter which is great. They will also vaccinate and spay/neuter before adoption.
Take the cats to PAWs..

Yes they will as long as they are manageable. There are places that specializes in pits.

It's okay. You can put it in PAWS. It's a No-Kill shelter, which I love. I'm gonna get a pet from there soon!
Hi Rebecca! Sorry to hear you can't take your fur baby with you! For all of the information about re-homing or surrendering a pet, you can visit our website: https://pawsatlanta.org/resources/re-homing
Hi Emma! Sorry to hear you can't take your fur baby with you! For all of the information about re-homing or surrendering a pet, you can visit our website: https://pawsatlanta.org/resources/re-homing
Not sure call 🐾 paws atlanta they should be able to help you
Well no. Paws is a no-kill shelter for rehoming pets.. you can call them, they can be of great help. however I do not think they will board your dogs
Hi William! All information on cat adoption can be found here: https://pawsatlanta.org/adopt/cats
Call paws and listen to their phone options, they have an option for 'giving up a pet' that may help. Also, try searching for 'atlanta pitbull rescue'. But ideally finding a home that allows pets so you could keep him, would be best for your dog. Good luck!
Not sure...they do adoptions. Call Paw's for updated info.
Bring the dog to Paw's...
Paw's can re-home pet.
I think it is this Sunday call them on Monday. Every Saturday is not true
They will find her a good home
Yes. They offer community service.
Wait😮 what🤔... huh🤨
I have 2 baby feral kittens have been socializing them they are almost 6 weeks old. Reday for shots and adoption..
Paws Atlanta will take all your cats if they've been spaded with all their shots or neutered they would accept all of your kittens if they have space I just surrendered to a my cats and I have two more to surrender and you have to pay $50
Visit to appeal, call to inquire.
Yes but contact first they get full
Recommend you call first to PAWS. You should also contact your local animal control organization. These places are overcrowded. Other than that if you have Facebook you can start a go fund me page for your pet. Also try reaching out to your relatives for assistance.
Probably they won't be able to take. Do call and confirm. Number given on website is mostly not in working condition so try calling them again and again to get in touch.
Yes for my rescue marley
In this case you should definitely call animal control of your county. Currently DeKalb and Fulton have intake stop as far as I know but if you emphasize that it's a stray dog which might pose a danger to humans by e.g. running into the street and causing an accident, they usually come out and catch it if they can. Have you asked around on Nextdoor or FB neighborhood forums if someone is missing their dog? Hope this helps!
Hi, this isn't a question. Please rephrase so the community can help.
Thanks for reaching out! Our shelter is not allowed to take in stray animals due to county law restrictions. Please take them to your county’s animal services so they can have the best chance to be reunited with their owner (we’ve included DeKalb and Fulton County ’s contact information below). Thanks for looking out for the animals in your community ! DeKalb County Animal Services 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm Saturday – Sunday: 11:00am – 6:00pm Animal Shelter | 404.294.2996 (follow the prompts for correct department) Fulton County Animal Services 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 Animal Shelter Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm Saturday – Sunday: 11:00am – 6:00pm General Information | 404.613.0358
We do! We don't use them in the shelter itself, but we can use them for our fosters and new adopters who need supplies. We have a donation bin at our gate where you can leave donations any time. Thank you!
Post it on Lifeline website
The best option would be to bring them to animal control of your county. Dekalb and Fulton animal control are run by LifeLine, a non kill shelter organization. Whatever you end up doing, please don't dump them anywhere. Thanks for helping these puppies!
Hi Torya! We're sorry to hear about your situation! We don't board pets temporarily. We recommend contacting your county animal services to see what they recommend. You could also contact your veterinarian and see if they have any recommendations.
I don't know the answer but you can call them to ask. You need an appointment to enter. Hope this helps.
Hi Robin, You have no idea how much we appreciate you thinking of our animals for the newspaper donation! You can drop off newspaper any day of the week at any time at our contactless donation bin located in our parking lot (near the dumpster). Thank you helping our animals stay comfy and dry during their time with us!
Hi Lala, Thanks so much for your interest in adopting from PAWS Atlanta! You can see all of our available cats here: www.pawsatlanta.org/adopt/cats. We have many kitties who are 5 months or older. You can find out cat adoption application and learn more about the adoption process here: www.pawsatlanta.org/adopt/adoption-process
Hi Jasmine, Thanks so much for your interest in working at PAWS Atlanta! You must be 18 years old to be eligible for employment.
Hi Eddie, Thank you for checking! We do not pick up cats from apartments. Please check with your county's local animal control.
Call them
Call them first and see if they have space or if they can refer you to another agency that can take them.
If you ring the bell at the gate entrance, I'm sure the people who work there would be happy to take your doggy off your hands and find them a new home.
Hi Dawn, We don't currently offer spay/neuter services, but all of our pets up for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, and microchipped. I know that LifeLine Animal project offers low cast spay/neuter surgeries. You can find more info here: https://lifelineanimal.org/our-clinics/spay-neuter
Hi Veronica! To learn more about surrendering or re-homing a pet, you can visit our website: https://pawsatlanta.org/resources/re-homing. Hope this helps!
Hi Daniel, Thanks so much for helping this dog! County law states that all stray animals found in a county MUST be taken to that county's animal services, (DeKalb County Animals Services is located at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341) for the opportunity to be reunited with their owner. It is not possible for an owner to check every animal rescue across the state of Georgia, therefore Animal Control is the central location for lost pets to be found. The DeKalb County Animal Control phone number is 404-294-2996.

I believe they do, upon appt..
Hi - thanks for reaching out. Legally, all stray animals found in a county must be taken to that county's Animal Services,(DeKalb County Animal Services are located at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341) for the opportunity to be reunited with their owner. Call animal control of you can't pick them up and transport them yourself. If you can, call Paws in the morning and let them know.
Your puppy's first vaccination will normally be at about eight weeks of age, with a second dose at 10-12 weeks. Your puppy won't have full protection until two weeks after the second vaccination takes effect. After that, annual booster vaccinations are needed to maintain your dog's immunity.
Hi Camille! The best first step would be to contact Dekalb County Animal Control. We do not take in stray pets (our animals generally come from county animal control or owner surrender). They'll be able to tell you what the process is. Thank you for helping this fur baby! https://dekalbanimalservices.com/

Check with LifeLine and possibly someone can foster him.

Poor dog. Couple of things , dog is priority so please contact paws for advice asap. Also don't you have a national cruelty organisation in USA? SPCA? They need to be alerted as the previous owners can't just dump the dog that's cruel. I'd report the incident to them also . They may also have good advice to help.
No.
Pick up what exactly?
March 17th, 12pm-3pm
I will take him
Call Paws. While I pray for you
Yes they do I just got my dog done today I'm not sure how much it cost because I got it with my adoption but they do to him for non adopted dogs to
Hi Catherine! Thanks for reaching out! We do have a public vaccine clinic several times per month, and our next clinic is this Sunday, August 7. You can find further information here: https://pawsatlanta.org/resources/veterinary-clinic/vaccinations. We do not offer spay/neuter services to the public, but you can find a list of low cost options here: https://secondlifeatlanta.org/spay-and-neuter/. Lastly, please do not declaw your cat. This procedure is painful and damaging, as it's the equivalent of amputating the ends of their toes. Cats need their claws to survive physically and emotionally. More information about not declawing can be found here: https://pawproject.org/about-declawing/declaw-surgery/
Then dont. 🙂 but if you must call em
Call me
I'm sure you can I don't actually work there but I'm sure you can
I don't think they pick up strays. Perhaps calling them to see if they have room to shelter and then taking the dog to them is a strategy
Call them to see if they have the space to accommodate and re-home your furry friend.
Yes. They provide low cost adoptions, spaying, neutering and vaccinations for your pets. Some cats and dogs may have adoption fee waived as some volunteers pay for the adoption.
They will but way are you giving her up??
No it's not free. It is at a very low price. However, not free.
Yes give me your information..
No
Yes
There are other bunny shelters in the Atlanta area. Google for the nearest one near you.
I honestly don't know. I donated to them after my dog died. My dog came from a different shelter. I'd check on their web site for your answer. If there isn't enough information, call them. They're very nice.
Yes PAWS is a no kill service for pets. PAWS have a great staff that can answer any of your concerns. My family takes our pets there when needed. Hope this helps😊
Shame on the thought of treating your beloved pet as a throw away chew toy. But before you turn the poor animal out on the street or send it to him where it can be killed, Paws is the place to rehome your pet
Call me
Call the Paws Atlanta no kill shelter to get their advise or see if they could take your lab puppy.
To the last lady with the 2yr old dog her hubby having brain surgery Jamie be able is the lady to help u with your dog.
Paws Atlanta told me they do not have anyroom thanks guys
Take him to Paws they are wonderful. make sure you take him inside. All animals left at the gate will be turned in to Animal Control. Paws need information on the animal so the adoptive parent will know something about their new baby.
Yes, paws ATL is a great place for your dog. I volunteered there many times. They will take care of your dogs very well as long as they have a spot for him.
You should check if it's full. I'm sorry you can't keep her. Call them and ask. If they do, then they should give you paperwork and everything done.
Yes.
Please call emergency number and report.
Call the facility and ask them if they can be help, or refer you to someone that can.
I didn't see any there
what kind
Best thing I can tell you is call Paws see what they can do.
That's okay. I may have found someone who wants him. My neighbor personally told me last night before leaving that she was not taking the dog.
Recommend you contact call PAWS before bringing her in. It is a no-kill shelter. They should be able to help.
You would have to bring them
Please call or go into PAWS. This is not monitored by PAWS
Please call or email. This is actually not monitored by PAWS
I'm sure they do. We are guides that answer these questions. You should contact PAWS directly to get accurate information and pricing.
I called today . Adoption fees for puppies are currently $200. . If I heard correctly. Yikes.
Yes. They are fixed, vet approved and vaccinated.
Kiana I am so sorry that there has been a breakdown in communication. Pet Rescue is a very difficult thing to be involved in. There are so many moving parts to being the advocates for literally several hundred animals at a time with several more needing help all the time. That being said the ultimate goal for each of these pets is to place them in loving forever homes. Please give PAWS another chance if you would like to be part of this process. Thank you for your love and concern.
They currently have Pit Bulls there so I'm not if they are taking any more. I believe they may tell you to call your local Animal Control Office. Recommend you call PAWS also to get further guidance.
I believe that all shelters do accept food as long as it hasn't been opened.
I have never adopted from paws but they are very generous with information when I go in with questions about my pet. They also will sell certain medication at a discounted price. Real animal lovers!
Sadly PAWS cannot take strays. But they rescue the baby's futon the shelters
I don't believe they are set up to be able to do that
I think they don't
I'm not sure. I recommend you contacting them directly.
