In this case you should definitely call animal control of your county. Currently DeKalb and Fulton have intake stop as far as I know but if you emphasize that it's a stray dog which might pose a danger to humans by e.g. running into the street and causing an accident, they usually come out and catch it if they can. Have you asked around on Nextdoor or FB neighborhood forums if someone is missing their dog? Hope this helps!
Hi Patricia! As other users have noted below, please contact your county animal services: Dekalb (404) 294-2996, Fulton (404) 613-0358. They will be able to pick up the dog, check to see if they're microchipped, and search for a potential owner. In the meantime, setting out some water for the dog would be kind, especially in the summer heat.
I agree call the animal shelter dekalb has a no kill policy so you don't have to worry about sending her to her death.
