What can we do with a dog that was picked up running in the road? We have 2 dogs and 5 rabbits currently, we do not need to keep another dog. I would rather not take her to the pound, she is very sweet. She is a red pit bull.

County law states that all stray animals found in a county MUST be taken to that county's animal services, (DeKalb County Animals Services is located at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341) for the opportunity to be reunited with their owner. It is not possible for an owner to check every animal rescue across the state of Georgia, therefore Animal Control is the central location for lost pets to be found. I would put her on Facebook and Craigslist or you can find a pit bull rescue center. I'm pretty sure someone will take her in. Do you have any pics of her I can help post her if you like?
