As a business traveler and with my work that deals with the hospitality industry, I stay at a lot of mid price range hotels - mainly Marriott properties. This one does not meet their standards. The issues I had ranged from being checked into a room that wasn't cleaned from the previous guest. Ok ... mistakes happen. The second room was clean but the ice maker in the freezer was broken and dangling, with ice scattered about, and the coffee maker was missing the filter basket rendering it useless. Lastly, the pool is a lovely shade of emerald green. The front desk was very apologetic and did what they could. But these issues are due to poor management and being overly concerned with spending the necessary funds to operate the property with a fully trained staff. I get that we live in a post Covid world and every business has it's challenges. But there are too many other hotels in Tallahassee that are meeting them with success.

Very friendly staff over my entire stay. Was very happy with hospitality and overall experience was great. That's hard to find these days.

Positive: The hotel had a great reception staff. Easy to follow instructions on how to get to the room. The room was well equipped and fully Functional. Very clean. We literally walked to our restaurant we wanted to try and it was an overall great experience.

Positive: The hotel is in a good location and the front desk staff was excellent. Negative: Not a huge variety for their breakfast. We had absolutely no hot water on our last full day there, until late that evening. And, the entrance to the building smelled like marijuana everyday.
