If you’re going to live here, please know that you have to keep documentation of everything. I’ve had a bad experience living here, which I why I moved out as soon as my lease ended. At first they sent me delinquency notice. I tried to contact them different times and no one ever got back to me. Last December, they left a notice of intent to file a complaint for summary ejectment on my door that I still owed them more money. So I finally got in contact with the community manager that day who finally figure out that they never apply concessions to my account. Luckily, I had her send me copies of my lease, account ledger, and an email that says that I paid a security deposit of $500. It’s been almost 2 months since I moved out and they are now claiming that I never paid a security deposit. I am so glad that I have different documents showing that I did pay a security deposit of $500. I sent them a copy of my lease and haven’t heard back. I’ve now sent copies of everything else that I have. As a tenant, you should not have to do all of this.

ASK FOR MELVINA! she was extremely friendly, professional and responsive to all of my billion questions. Everything she said she would do she did in a timely fashion as promised! Great experience with her

While living at Alexander House for 13 months I had wonderful experience with the maintenance staff - so friendly and responsive - by far the best part of living there! The appliances are also new and apartment looks sleek. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend living here! The construction going on behind the building begins at 7am every day, even some weekends, and makes sleeping and working at home impossible. The construction blows dust everywhere and made my balcony unusable. The height of the new building blocked my sunset view with a dark, concrete wall, allowing no sunlight in my apartment. The office staff is ever changing and extremely hard to get in touch with. Whether you call or visit the desk, the staff is always “in a meeting” and takes days to get back to you. On top of that, the billing department is horrible. I had to personally request my ledger each month to double check their accounting and found errors on numerous occasions. Alexander House either overcharged me or once added another resident’s payment to my account - how does that happen?? How is it 2021 and they don’t have an online system where you can check your bill yourself?? It’s been almost 5 months since I moved out and I STILL have not received my security deposit back. There are plenty of other places to live in Downtown SS - don’t waste your time or money at Alexander House.

I was in the process of renting. Something major happened and I couldn't call or go to apt. A follow up from the apt would have been nice. Also, Emails I has been ignored. It is a curtsey to call back and reply for email.Ayda, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during the leasing process. We certainly aim to respond to all communications as soon as possible, but there are times when it may take us longer to reply or call back. We would like the opportunity to discuss your review in more detail, so we kindly ask that you call our management office or email our Customer Success Team at [email protected]. ~ Customer Success Team

Some apartments are rent controlled by Montgomery County. You can ask the leasing office.
