Lovely hotel (motel really), but clean and has everything you need. Good complimentary breakfast. We had mountain view room and could see two faces from one side. I didn't realize this place has multiple buildings in case it's important to know for some people. We truly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this place!

The K Bar S Lodge is a hidden gem. We stayed 2 nights in late June 2022. The mountain view is great and we spent quite a bit of time on our private balcony enjoying our time. We ate dinner amd had cocktails at the restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was very good. The included breakfast was adequate, the service very good, and the facility clean, and quite quiet. The rooms are nothing special, just standard rooms, but the other amenities, open spaces, and quiet location make it still worthy of my high rating nonetheless. I would stay here again for sure. The only complaint was from my 14 year old twin boys that they wished there was a pool on site. You won't regret your stay here.

My stay was decent, although the front desk immediately took notice to what I paid for the room and mentioned it out loud which is a big No No, its not my fault the hotel offered me a room for that price. When I asked for a room with a decent view I was told it would be an extra $40.00 night, even though there were many open rooms with a much better view. I dont mean to be picky or maybe I'm old fashioned, but i believe a straight question deserves a straight answer and the facts speak for themselves. The hotel was very clean though and was in a very nice area.

Absolutely stunning hotel grounds. Delicious breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. We saw deer while eating! Staff was so friendly and helpful. This is the perfect location maybe half a mile from town so removed from the busyness but so close and convenient. Plus, we could see Mount Rushmore from our room!
