Edited to add: I haven’t had trouble getting through on the phone since that first set up. It’s actually very easy to get through for technical help, change to service, everything. Everyone I have dealt with from the phone to in-person technicians has been helpful, polite, professional, and just generally wonderful to work with. I’m so glad we switched to Nextlink! We’ve only just set up our internet, but I was very impressed with the company in our first dealings. Getting through to someone on the phone is a little difficult. I had a pretty long wait time the times I called. But once on the phone, everyone was helpful and professional. The technicians who came out for the survey and installation were great. Timely, professional, quick to get the job done. They had to take pictures for the company of the site to prove that they were doing all the things they are supposed to, which I’m sure is a pain for the technicians, but it shows that the company is making sure things are being done right. Overall, good experience so far!

My company lets me work from home so i do not have to commute 70 miles to office. Every day the internet is out I have to give up vacation day. Already had to cancel my trip to see family in Puerto Rico. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPECTRUM! 2 more miles to go.

I used to NEVER have any problems, now for the last month it has gone out several times. What is going on? I've referred them to 3 different people saying they were the best.....now I'm questioning that. I work from home and NEED my internet to work. What is going on?
They can't even offer 25mbps where im because of availability aka no tower bandwidth already exceeded. Mary im glad for you and truly hope your experience doesn't change. Like i said previously and how 90 percent.of the reviews state, the techs are awesome and the first month or so the speed is excellent, then its down hill.
True story. And, when you attempt to fill out a support ticket request Online, I get the “we’re sorry. The page you are looking for can not be found.” It’s sad. Their customer service used to be great! Maybe they are growing too fast to keep up.

Hi, Kevin! Nextlink has several different types of dual-band managed routers (ethernet connected) available with extender capabilities for lease with service. The type of router deployed would depend on the location needs. A "managed router" means Nextlink would handle all maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement in the event of manufacturer defect; whereas all maintenance and diagnostics of a personal router would be completed by the customer and would require going directly through the manufacturer for issues.
I am in Whiskey Flats and it is extremely reliable. It all depends on location and your proximity to a tower.
It's because someone else complained so they took my data and spread it to them and everyone else that complained. It goes full circle.

Restart the Nextlink device and restart your modem and/or router, it will come back up.

For a long time it worked well. But for the last few months I’ve had a lot of trouble with the signal going in and out. It has gotten so bad that you might as well say I haven’t had service for a month. They have sent technicians out and replaced the equipment at my home. Technical assistance always answers the phone but they seem powerless to solve the problem. They are always courteous and really do try to solve the problem. For the time being I would give Nextlink Internet 2 1/2 stars are in But only because they are so courteous.

Hi, Kevin! Many desktop and laptop computers come with ethernet capabilities (or adapter capabilities) which allow them to be directly connected via hardwire to our internet service. However, they do not have the switch capabilities to connect multiple devices. As we do not handle or sell end-user devices, I would recommend reaching out to a SOHO IT professional to better assist you and answer any questions you may have.

Hi, Tressa! Typically, they require signing up through a TV provider, such as Hulu or Dish. Nextlink would not be an option for that. If you are signing up through an Internet service provider, select "other" if available. If it is not, I would encourage you to contact FX support for assistance with that to see if they can manually add us to your account. Please let us know if there is anything that is needed from us.
Get ready for serious packet loss and slow speeds you'll notice on the phone they say up to 15mbps (then throttled back down to 5mbps) so you'll end up paying 70 a month for sub par service and they block the ability to set your own static IP behind another 10 bucks a month their wisp service is laughable but hey you'll be able to watch Netflix at 720p and maybe sometimes 1080

I hadnt noticed any issues with mine in the Rhome area .. 25m connection always seems to be clocked at close to 30m with close to 5m for the download....so much better than the 10m that was paid for with CenturyLink that normally wasnt any faster than about 6m

You have to get into the settings and connect the extender to your router. I do believe that you will drop when you get out of range from the router and it switches to the extender due to the WPS.. Could be a pain in the butt if you are walking and searching on the net. I personally switched to a whole home mess type system. They all have same IP and switch seamlessly.
So the problem is they did not call 1.5 hr?? Guess you have never had Time Warner.
From what I understand, you need to be in "line of sight" with a transmitting tower. The closer you are, the stronger the signal. I bet you are in the middle between towers.
Think you need to call Nextlink about you issue. Mine is s working fine.
No problems my way but I live in Springtown so we probably use different towers. It is very frustrating when ur internet goes down, hope u get it resolved soon.
Have you tried unplugging your router for 10 seconds the plugging it back in
I think you should call DirecTV and ask them to walk through turning it back on.
Any time there is significant weather, it could go down or be unstable. Atmospheric conditions can interfere with microwave communications. It sucks, but it is the nature of the beast.
They are in violation if their service contract. Lord knows if we did not keep our end and pay, they would cancel our services. We pay our bill and still do not have service. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPECTRUM TO MAKE IT DOWN TO MY ADDRESS. A year ago they were five miles away and I checked yesterday and they are two miles away. It is just a matter of time.........
Their internet is intermittent right now. I would say the best way to contact NextLink is via email.
They are reseting the tower to configure the best signal the moble tower is so close it's not easy to find the FM signal that will pass by a microwave signal

We went down about that same time yesterday as well but this morning it's back up and running fast as ever. They did mention on their Facebook page that there still may be a few folks without service but they are working on getting those folks handled as well.
