I don't like 2 write bad reviews but I lived there for years & never had any problem w/any resident. The problems always have been with the management staff except (Lola) she was very kind 2 me & professional. They have executive directors in the back office & a manager in the front office. Executive directors quit/leave & then they're allowed to come back & handle things without being employed there.With that being said I moved 2 months ago & still hv not received my security deposit when I have documents that were signed by the manager at the time, cause there was no executive director there. It states that everything was in order & I will receive my deposit in full in 30 days. I have been there twice to inquire & the current executive director has given me nothing but disrespect, insolence, rudeness & uncouth behavior. I have been nothing but pleasant & understanding & still I got the door slammed in my face so hard the window shook in the office just because she did not want to give me any more information. I was told by the current executive director tht the previous executive director that has been gone almost a year ago, has not taken her name off of the account that holds the funds for Clinton Township Housing Commission & no one there is getting paid. That doesn't sound legal 2 me. If that were true, how could anyone get hired or do work under the pretense that they will not get paid? I have been given the run around after all I've had 2 endure, including the fact that they moved me into an apartment that was filthy, not painted, nt inspected & mold growing in the kitchen & nasty floors. It took 2 years for them to rectify, but upon me leaving the mold was back, you could smell it very strong. I reported it again.I am still being medically treated for a condition tht I did not hv when I moved in. I had to deal with contractors whom I had no idea who they were because no business info was given to me & they were in plain clothes & they were not escorted 2 my apartment by management even after I explained that I am a woman living alone & that would make me feel unsafe. I don't have enough time to tell all the things that were not right, But I hope this review helps someone so that they don't have to endure what I did. So I asked for a letter to explain what the current executive director told me and once again I was met with insolence, ridicule about my disability, facetious remarks & nasty behavior from the current executive director. I asked 4 this letter cuz she will only be there for 30 days according 2 her. When the current Secretary who was the manager while I was there, was trying to help me she was told by the executive director to leave and go home & she could not talk to me. Totally unprofessional! Didn't understand that because I have never given anyone in management a problem or had any type of verbal or written reprimands; it just becomes one when you try to speak up about things that are wrong and unjust. How can someone who has not been employed over a year be allowed to still hold on to money that does not belong to them. The security deposits that are paid by tenants are supposed to be in a separate bank account so when tenants move out monies can be returned. However that is not the case cuz I'm still waiting and I had nothing wrong with my apartment, everything was in order and the manager at the time signed everything off which included a letter stating that I would receive my money in 30 days in full. When I told the current executive director that, she told me the manager had been demoted to secretary and that my documents are not valid. The behavior of the current executive director is something I have never experienced. Even with the way I was treated I would never stoop to that level of uncouth behavior. 🌟This review is unbiased & honest due 2 MY personal experiences living there. It is NOT written to defame the character of any persons or business mentioned above. HUD NEEDS 2 KNOW THIS! Plz share!
