My husband and I took our kids here on a whim. We went into it not expecting too much, but they had a BLAST. Some of the birds strolled right up to the car to say hello and we got some cool pics. The gift shop was a little expensive, but not too outlandish. I would definitely recommend this safari for families with young children.

I think $9 per person is a little steep on the price but I'm sure it takes a lot of money to feed all the animals so I don't mind paying it too much. My friend and I had a great time here! The serene fields of wildflowers and grasses in the early summer are just breathtaking and I could spend hours looking at them. Seeing the animals are kind of hit and miss, but I guess that's just how it is with wild animals. We really enjoyed looking at the animals we did see and got some great photos. I want to bring my kids maybe this fall for some different views.

I love visiting the safari park and always have a fun and unique experience. Being able to drive through some areas and get out and walk through others is a nice combination and makes you feel extremely immersed in the experience. You almost forget you’re in the middle of Nebraska!

We brought some stadium binoculars in case the animals were far away, but most of them were relaxing right next to the path! Most of my pictures took place right beside my car. We didn't get to see the wolves or black bear sadly, but the trails were fun. The eagles and cranes both chorus called in front of us. ❤

Sandhill cranes, bison, pelicans, elk, teeny tiny toads, butterflies, eagles, owls, a bear (some of the animals like the bear and the wolf are in rehabilitation and are in enclosures) there are the easy to see animals- but then when you look closer- there are turtles and other animals. Oooh! And goats
They do take credit cards. I'm not sure if they have an ATM.
For all years: Wildlife Safari Park is open April through October. They just reopened this weekend so, a little earlier than normal.
Generally they are supposed to be open year round (weather permitting) . This place is a great place to check out. I live a little over an hour away and visited at least 5 times last year. My family and I love it.
They are dirt roads and bumpy as well but I did see many cars and they were fine.
Yes but they are only allowed outside of the car in designated areas. Most of the experience is driving but there are areas like the wolf and bear exhibits where you need to hike and pets aren't allowed. So, either plan on skipping it, have someone stay in the car or make plans. We left the car running with the ac on and a note that everything was OK.
Adults are $8 seniors are $7 children 2 and under are free! You can drive the loop as many times as you want not like other places one time around. There are picnic tables we took lunch.
It depends, your can pull over and take pics, there is an area by the birds that you can get out of your car. There is another area where you can get out, walk some trails, see the wolves, bears, eagles etc. And a petting zoo (which was closed for petting) A place to get something to eat. The gift shop at the end. All in All it took us about 3 1/2-4 hours from start to finish.
Yes in the car but up where public restrooms are there were people walking dogs on leashes
I was there last Saturday (November 23rd) but they're closed for the season now (December 1st).
They are open. I was there yesterday.
On the web site it says per person but I would call and see if they can give u a deal
During the heat of the day they are all kinda hidden trying to stay cool. Early would probably be best. We went at 10:30 and had a blast.
You pay at the window before going into the park
30 minutes with light traffic using Interstate 80 (I-80).
Open on weekends only after Halloween I was told at the counter last week.
No, and everything is open except for the petting zoo part & the bird sanctuary by the gift shop. You can walk along the outside of it. The gift shop is even open.
I wouldn't recommend it. The roads are narrow and curvy turns.
That I'm not sure of. Kind of close in some spots, but you could always google it or bring up the number and call to ask.
The wildlife park is run by the state. I don't think the zoo pass will help. I would call.
Yes restroom is open, doors are propped open one family at a time. They do even provide hand sanitizer
They do publish their dates & times! They are part of the Omaha Zoo, so you can go to the zoo's website & get all the information. Every year the opening of the season is usually April, so no matter how nice the weather is beforehand, it won't be open. The Fall is a different situation... since they're already open, they have hours until the weather gets too bad. Sorry you had trouble. From now on check the Zoo's website. 😃
Yes they are open today 9 to 5pm
When you get to the entrance ask them, They are super nice and helpful.
No
No it does not. It is a separate pass. It can be added as an "addition " to your zoo pass for an additional charge.
There's an additional membership fee that is attached to your Henry Doorly Zoo membership.
http://www.wildlifesafaripark.com/admission-fees shows their rates for different groups. You can see what you need there.
It is not required! It is not a state park it is affiliated with the Omaha zoo but your zoo membership will not get you in.
Yes, they even have a small area by restrooms designated as a dog stretching / dog restroom area
No. They are closed. They are only open from April to October.
No wheel chairs not sure you could even use one here. The Terrain isn't accommodating for a wheelchair.
It's a completely enclosed park. One way in one way out. You pay at the gate and then take your time driving through the park on a designated path. There several places that you can stop and get out of the car. There's a petting zoo and walk up enclosures too. It's all completely outside, with the exception of the gift shop, so be mindful of the weather. Our grandsons love it!! We spent $45 on an annual pass and go about once every 6-8 weeks.
$7.50 for adults (12+), $6.50 for children, $5.50 for Seniors. I have seen people there with there with dogs, so should be fine.
No, you do not get to feed the wild animals, with the exception that if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, the park rangers will allow you to throw frozen fish to the pelicans when they feed them.
Yes, but they have to stay in the car except for the parking lot areas. Dogs are not permitted on the trails.
$7.50 (ages 12 and up) / $5.50 (ages 3-11) / $6.50 (seniors 65 +), according to their website.
Maybe 45 mins bit you can stop half way and go for a hike around the lake to see the bears and wolves ,so you could be there for hours depending on your level of interest .
