Things We Liked: Two rides were not working the hotel was pro active and gave us 25% of our stay without having to ask. Amazing Hotel for Kids!!!!!! Highly recommend the “Wolf Pass” Arcade Games we’re amazing Magic Quest was fun and staff was helpful All the fun activities for the kids! The staff members were kind & seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. The Great Wolf Lodge App The restaurants The water park Ben & Jerry’s ice cream Things We Disliked How thin the walls are you can her everything, which if you are traveling with little one who are light sleepers that’s no fun. Noise in hallways, since kids were running around during quite hours. The pullout couch will make your back hurt lol Water park did not have a hot tub (minor dislike) and outdoor pool was green. But overall it was a great experience, loved the events ambassador team. Lifeguard did a great job as well. Management also was very helpful The hotel is bigger than it looks. The front doesn’t give justice to how nice this place is.

We loved our stay here. Such a great break from the winter blues! In general, I would say this is more fun for younger kids (mine are 3 and 5 and they really enjoyed most the activities). We'll probably try to go 1 or 2 more years before I feel like they might be too old to really enjoy it. You can drop a lot of extra money on activities other than swimming (which we did!), but if you book on a deal and just swim it's really very affordable! Because everything is indoors, it is pretty loud and stimulating - so just a bit of caution for those with sensitive kids. Even going during a "slower" mid-week time, there were plenty of people enjoying the place.

Such a great place for a nearby weekend (or in my case, midweek) getaway! Very family friendly with so many activities for all age groups. It is somewhat disappointing that they don't offer some kind of all inclusive or "variety of activities" option for the rock mining, rope course, rock climbing wall, and that game with the wands that you wander around to "unlock" (that all adds up pretty fast). It is especially great for younger kids; they have nightly story time, morning yoga, "late night" kids dance parties, (I'm sure I missed some other activities).. All of the staff were friendly and we had a very positive experience overall!!

Celebrated my daughters 3rd birthday here this past weekend. It was a very busy. Wait times for food was quite long (roughly 45-1 hour) but understandable with place being short staffed and it being a busy weekend. Food was fresh and pretty good. Don’t recommend the Cesar salad. Was extremely small for the price and didn’t like the Caesar dressing or the cherry tomatoes (weird for a Caesar) Drinks were great from the bar inside pool area. Same bartender I’ve seen past few times we’ve gone and he’s always really great. Life guards watch kids like a hawk and constantly check pools, slides and lazy river. They made us feel more at ease and safe with our little ones swimming. Checkin and checkout was pretty smooth. Loved the birthday package we purchased and the cake was delicious. Sense I’m really honest with my personal reviews, I really wanted to give 5 stars because I really like going there with my family. However day of checkout, we decided to go for our last swim and grab a bite before heading out. We sat on chairs close to the lazy river and I seen 2 bugs (cockroaches) scattering next to the garbage can. Can say I lost my appetite and we left shortly after. Still gave 4 stars for our overall experience and enjoyment prior to that.

You may want to post this as a review. More people will see it there rather than in the question section.
Recently they started allowing weekday day passes

There accepting reservations RIGHT NOW here in gurnee Illinois. They have a 30% OFF for gurnee illinois so book now before rooms get booked! 30% Off Code: GRAND
Klc is closed permanently. Great wolf should open soon and may or may not have tubs in room. Klc did have suites with juccuzis, so perhaps they kept them when they remodeled.
I think you could walk in
Yes
Key Lime Cove is closed and their website is turned off. You can still see them on Orbitz and Expedia nut can't make reservations. They've been bought out by Great Wolf Lodge and will reopen in Nov of 2018.
I believe so. When I went there with my husband, son and daughter we stayed for 3 days and went to the water park.
They are vacation packages that are available at select GWL properties. All will, however, offer the Pup/Paw/Wolf passes for activities for kids. You can check availability online by selecting the property in the state you wish to visit.
Closed in October
No there was nothing that you could make reservations for as hotel guest, not sure for day passes
It depends on what day you rent
Just left gotta rall rates change by the day and type of room and how far out you book.
No. It did c when it was the old place but they took it out. Bad move. I don't like their new lay out as well. 🤨
Yes, they have a restaurant that has a buffet. I believe the cost is around $20 for adults and $14 for kids. They also have a Dunkin on premises if you want to grab just some donuts and beverages.
They would only close the one outdoor pool. The indoor waterpark is open rain or shine.
Yes, check with the resort to see how soon you can arrive. Typically they will let you into the waterpark before your room is even ready.
Yes its true
I was just there last night and there was nobody there. I mean like nobody. Only a handful of people in the water park. We stay often at Mason OH I've never seen it that dead even during the middle of the week.
Key Lime Cove is closed. The water park will reopen as Great Wolf Lodge in July.
Unfortunately, their website advertises a "Grand Opening" in September 2018. Edit: As of 4/21 Great Wolf Lodge is accepting reservations for July 1st at their Gurnee location (formerly Key Lime Cove).
Please go to the website for Great Wolf Lodge and check for availability at the Gurnee IL location (formerly known as Key Lime Cove).
It usually cost around one hundred dollars per night. The pet fee is 25 dollars.
They have wolves raccoons squirells and all the male and female counterparts have their own names brinley bear, wiley wolf, violet the girl wolf , Sammy the squirell to name a few there are several more
Each person needs their own pass, but if you have a room it will come with passes.
The employees were all nice while we were there, I'm not sure what negative experiences people have had but none of it was evident to me.
No Jacuzzi at this location. & my kids Were good for about an hour before the cold complaints began. The warm water depends on what area you go in. Kids area was warm. Big slides had colder water.
No pets unless medical condition requires you to must have cage for the animal.
Yes there is a shuttle don't know if its free or not
They allow you to use the water park and everything starting at 1p.m. to 9:00 p.m. if you're checking in but even if you do, if it's the weekend you won't be able to enjoy yourself because they're so packed. I don't think it's worth it.
Lol no you have to pack that. They have the towels for ya though. Enjoy!
You have to have a blue risk band, kids under 12 have to be with a parent, and if you use one of there towels you have to keep up with it or you will be charged 15 dollars.
They are not enforcing any mask mandates in the pool area which is odd because eventually the entire hotel is going to end up in the pool area anyway so why even make them wear it anywhere else?
Run by military now. Not looking like anytime soon
No there's none
This time of year and 8 months out of every year nobody wants to be outside here. Inside is where it's happening. Although, there is a large grassy area outside if you wanted to put up volleyball nets, BBQ grill etc. You should check if it is allowed though.
You can stay after checking out for the whole day! If you're staying in the hotel, you can go to all the waterparks as long as they're open and operational! This place is great!
It's a great place to visit especially with the family members or friends
Only 1 in Gurnee.
Great place for the kids but registration is so bad ☹️ I would take any and every thing to confirm you purchased the pass.
Yes! It was purchased by great Wolf Lodge a couple years ago, and revamped with great Wolf Lodge branding.
I don't think there is an age restriction. I saw people 👫with babies. They didn't have to pay for the little ones
You can make a reservation online, but you still have to check in at the desk
If you're staying at the Lodge, then no. But if you're just stopping by to enjoy the water park, then yes you do
Ours did not. We had the room with the cabin and bunk beds
I don't think they do either
Whatever machines and syrups they use, it's overpriced. Sorry I don't have a real answer for you.
Call the company.
It used to be Key Lime Cove. Great Wolf Lodge purchased the building last year.
You can not buy waterpark passes alone. You must stay at the hotel to use the waterpark.
You can buy a day pass! My wife and I went a few weeks ago and a friend join us for a day.
No. You can only go into the water park if you are a hotel guest or you can pay a fee if you are a guest of someone staying at the resort
THERE'S ALSO A WAL-MART ABOUT 4 MIN AWAY... JUST ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE EXPRESS WAY.... WE STOPPED THERE ON THE WAY & GRABBED MY SOM SON'S TRUNKS... GLAD WE DID TOO.. I PAID A QUARTER OF THE PRICE THEY WERE CHARGING AT THE LODGE!!
Yes, but no real rewards for all the searching
As stated
Yes
It depends on the day, and season. Always call to check first. Mostly 9am. to 9p.m or 10 am to 8 pm depending on the season.
No day passes at this lodge. An overnight stay is required to access the water park.
You can purchase extra passes. But I recommend doing it before you arrive.
You should probably call them. You get your answer much faster.
Yes, it is! Key lime cove water park use to end at the "toilet bowl" slide and pool with the basketball hoops. They knocked out that wall, added a much larger wave pool and two very cool family raft slides. There is also an small outside pool now. The former wave pool use to be part of the lazy river, that is no longer the case. It's converted into a very nice kiddy area. There are also many more dry activities too. My kids (age 14 and 5) loved it!
The hot dogs in the pool area are Nathan's. Really good!
Yes you can. There is a small refrigerator and a coffee pot in the rooms.
Hours change by day. Call to check times. Holidays and seasons my change water park hours.
Everything looks newly renovated. Rooms clean. But I would always call and ask.
It's basically based on what activities you want that child to participate in. They are always running some kind of special promotions.
Yes deposits required with credit card and you can pay the balance with cash
Have no idea what that means
They have very secure plastic ones, not the paper kind. My kids never had an issue.
Everyone is wrong on here. If you book the right room there is definitely a stove in your room and again if you book the right room you get a microwave in your room. Otherwise they have microwaves by the vending and ice areas.
Water park area is open from 9-9 other activity areas vary by time.
The water park is strictly for resort guests.
They don't offer day passes, they require you stay with them to use the resort (waterpark). Otherwise arcade and restaurants are open to piblic
Yes they Technically have 3
No, you have to be a guest staying at the hotel.
Better take lots of cash. If not, keep an eye on what they're charging to your card. Tried to charge me an extra 161 $ for no reason. I did like the wrist band/rm key. Great idea. My kids always lose the key
I believe they have a outside pool
Check their website
Yes, your room will be reserved when you get there. Well, I believe with the promo you used it'll still be the same price you used with the old promo or to make sure email them.
No!!!! They didn't and none were available for guests to use (as of opening weekend!)
If you Google Great Wolf Jobs in Gurnee a link will pop up. It’s an online application.
Yes
No in July 1st
Check out their website.
I don't know but you should go to the great wolf lodge wwbaite and pretend to make a reservation and see how much it will cost :) I did it for me my mom, dad, and cousin.I recommend the idea
Key Lime Cove is closed. The water park will reopen as Great Wolf Lodge in July.
Don't know yet still under construction
Yes
Great Wolf Lodge bought the property. Check their website for room availability and their most up-to-date projected grand reopening.
That question won't be able to be answered until after the water park reopens.
Yes where are you coming from first
Yes
Anytime you want as they're permanently closed.
Yes
Key Lime Cove is shut down for good. However, it was bought out by Great Wolf Lodge and will reopen sometime this summer.
It's not even open right now. Great Wolf Lodge bought it and it is opening in the summer. Taking reservations now.
They closed and are reopening as Great Wolf Lodge. Search them, taking reservations now for opening in the summer.
Summer 2018 is what i was told when Key lime Cove was closing
Reyna is correct. Key lime cove closed day after Easter last year. Look for bigger, better water park 2018 summer
It's turning into a great wolf lodge. Suppose to open in the spring.
It was purchased by the Great Wolf chain of hotels. They are renovating it to match the theme of their other hotels.
No
