The most recent estimate from Feb 10th 2017 was that the park would reopen in the spring of 2018.

I think summer. I'm sorry. Try Wisconsin Dells or Sandusky Ohio. There is a Waterpark in Rockford I believe. Also, check Groupon for deals.
