If there was a -1 star rating, that would be my choice. There has to be a better way to run a business. Perhaps more customer service training? More training to understand the information that they post on their own website? Training how to return calls or even emails? . Training to clarify the status and policies that they write? Absolutely ANTHING has to help.

I really want to be pulling for these government employees, but I am just starting to feel at the end of my rope. After many attempts to reach someone, the person was downright hostile. I cannot get answers to what I think should be straightforward. I don't expect them to just hand out licenses, but this is far more baffling than my experiences getting licensed in other jurisdictions.

See attached for email proof. Oh my goodness. I’m trying to not include my feelings in this post but I’ve never experienced such poor customer service from a group of individuals. I am simply trying to transfer my license from California to Maryland and no one since October 2021 to now February 8th has returned my calls. They communicate 100% through email with empty and cold responses that do not “help” increase understandings of the application process. There is one worker by the name of Njeri who presents to hate her job and not care about social workers trying to successfully apply to help the larger community. Her supervisor Gloria has healthier responses that also do not address nuances contributing to confusion but has not returned any of my request to “call me” to this day. At this time I don’t know anything else to other than write this review. I feel very devalued and unfulfilled from this entire process and the delay it’s caused me and my home state.

They are horrible .. no one responds to you by email or phone ! I called to get assistance with my license and one lady told me that it has nothing to do with her ! They need to do better .

No, only social workers.
There is a requirement for 3 hours of Ethics each time you renew your license. It can be either Cat. I or Cat. II. So yes, home study would count.
There are exam prep courses offered on a regular basis by a variety of CE providers.
