I booked a 1 bedroom suite for me and my husband for his Father’s Day gift. Upon arrival we noticed that the furniture was soiled. I tried to clean the sofa and the desk chair so that I would feel a little comfortable sitting there. Shortly thereafter I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and there was no hand soap, so I used the dish soap that I found under the cabinet in the kitchen area. The air conditioner came on and such a horrible odor came into the room when the air conditioner came on. My husband began to complain. I went to the front desk to ask for the bar soap and to tell them about the smell. I asked if we could be moved to another room. The front desk stated that there weren’t any other suites like the one we were in available. I then asked for the soap and was told that they did not have any. I asked for some air freshener and was told that they did not have any. So, my husband and I went to the nearest Walmart and purchased bar soap and air freshener. Although the soap issue was taken care of, the odor still remained. The next day I requested another room. They offered me a room the was less than what I paid for and gave me a business card for the supervisor. I called the off-site manager who offered me the same thing without any adjustments or discount. SMH! I expected more from Hilton! Never again! I mean NEVER!

My review seems to have disappeared so I am sharing my full experience. First, Hilton did not ever send an email confirmation. Please note that this is important because it is the only document that would record a cancellation policy. Second, I cancelled over a month before my scheduled stay. They proceeded to charge my credit card. I reached out to the general manager twice with no response. The front desk staff is not well-trained on taking and transferring phone calls and I was told twice to call back in the morning when a manager would be there. I then filed a complaint with Hilton Customer Care and was guaranteed to receive a response within 72 business hours. I have received no communication at all whatsoever, a full week later. Please avoid this property and all Hilton properties at all costs. I am having very similar issues with another Home2 property right now as well.

**Adding to the review after someone from Hilton replied. I already emailed the general manager and have heard exactly NOTHING back from them. Not an email response or phone call. I called the hotel again and was told I have to call back in the morning to try to get a hold of someone. Aside from the fact that it is not possible with my work schedule, the fact that I have to bend over backwards to correct a huge monetary error that the hotel made is absurd. They go to the absolute bare minimum to do anything. The front desk attendant did not even know how to transfer a phone call to the general manager's voice mail. Please save yourself an immense headache and stay anywhere else.

I have booked room for 1 night in Cincinnati for my kids Chess tournament. Unfortunately my kid was sick with temp 104 and cough and could. We went to urgent care and doctor asked us to cancel the trip due to current situations (covid) . I have got refund for Flight, car and chess tournament but Hotel is not willing and they says you can stay here or pay penalty. Looks like they don't care about the community but I do. Hence I paid penalty instead of staying in the hotel. Even I asked them to give credit so that I can book next time in the same hotel but they rejected. So please be aware of booking rooms in these kind of hotels.
