Management has been dismissing a broken smoke alarm on the floor for the past 4 months despite my consistent actions and attempts for them to take it seriously. It is a safety issue, a code violation, and a breach of contract, rendering my apartment uninhabitable. Front desk and maintenance staff friendly and lovely. All issues are management, leasing, and Greystar related.

Actually, in a way they do. It's called subsidized housing and every high rise in Chicago offers 20% of the residental units BY LAW. Google subsisized housing or go to local community center and ask for a list. It's easy to find many places by going online and going on their waiting list.
