I had the unfortunate experience of living at Central. On two occasions mice entered my unit and caused several hundred dollars worth of damage to my property. I always kept my apartment home clean and tidy, so the situation with the mice was incredibly troubling. In addition to the mice, my unit had roaches as well. Pest control is a big issue in this building. Roaches freely roamed the pool, recreational, and gym areas. For months there was a strong foul odor emanating throughout the lobby and gym. Safety also was a major concern. Conceirge and maintenance staff informed me that they witnessed homeless persons entering the building and the garage since the garage door was frequently broken. The police were called to the building on several occasions to deal with homeless persons causing disturbances.

My aging parents recently moved to Central after selling their home of many years for more convenient, centralized apartment living. I cannot tell you what a positive experience it has been for them. The staff is so kind, so responsive and just genuinely caring. I live nearby but there have been times, particularly during the pandemic, when they needed an extra hand with certain tasks that it wasn't safe for me to help with. The Central team is always ready to step in and lend a hand. It's a huge relief to have my parents in such a welcoming, neighborly community, and Pavi and his staff are a huge part of that equation. While downtown Silver Spring and apartment living is a big draw to the young crowd, it's also a great alternative for older people who want the vibrancy and diversity of great people and great facilities. If you are thinking moving your older parents closer to you, Central is a great place to be.

We have been living at Central for 3 years. If you are looking luxury apartment, center must be your first choice. All the stuffs are helpful, friendly, and kind hearted professionals who promptly solve any issues that arise. Great people over here! The apartment is beautiful and spotless. I would highly recommend to anyone! All of our neighbors are peaceful. But one of our neighbor in the downstair(Apt#238) are HORRIBLE, hostile. They like to complain every single day and night. I feel sorry for the next resident who will be their neighbor.

The building has a great location and looks very nice when you first walk in. However, this is by far the most poorly managed building I’ve ever lived in. The garage is claimed to be 8 ft tall, but it’s barely over 6 in many areas (see pictures). The leasing office employees tend to park right up front taking the prime spots—I wonder if they pay the same parking fees as the residents do—while the residents have to figure out unassigned parking on the lower levels. The building claims to be Leed certified, but they don’t even compost. Insulation is terrible and you have to waste money and energy (not eco friendly) to cool off even when it’s cold outside. Some of the rooms that they advertise as bedrooms don’t have windows, which is against architectural standards for living spaces. And check out a picture of their “amazing” and definitely “eco-friendly” swimming pool! I should probably complain to Leed about this stuff. The units are filled with the cheapest appliances and materials that exist on the market. The floor is not even laminate. It’s a vinyl sticker! The freezer is so cheap that it doesn’t have stoppers for the shelves. You pull on a drawer, and all your stuff falls on the floor. The dishwasher doesn’t rinse your dishes. You have to sign a waiver to get hot water in your own apartment! The temperature for the water is set up as 120 maximum. And your own heater is set up to not go colder than 75, and not hotter than 78—you have to file a maintenance request to adjust it. The concierge staff is very friendly, but honestly not very useful. For example there’s a printer and a coffee machine in a common space, and they are never filled with supplies (paper/water). Each time I needed to use one, I had to ask and wait for concierge to fill it up. And finally their web services (a rent payment system) never work! Not even once was I able to successfully pay my bills without having to alert management about online system mistakes. If you read till this point you may guess that I don’t recommend this building in its current management condition. It was a work related move for myself, so I’ll definitely make sure to spread the word to other employees to stay away from Bozzuto services.
