It’s a pretty nice building, but after a year they want to raise rent 11% which seems nuts. Who gets income raises that big? Not me. I reached out to the leasing office a few times and to GreyStar and I haven’t got a single response.

The Cameron is a great place to call home. I lived here in 2011-2013. I returned to Minneapolis for 5 years. When I new that I was returning to Maryland, I knew exactly where I wanted to live: The Cameron. I want to especially highlight the experience during COVID-19. The management team continuously sent emails to check on residents, keep us updated and started to provide special experiences to bring encouragement. For example, the started providing a virtual DJ on Thursdays, had a bingo night, opened the pool and fitness center using a reservation system so we could enjoy the amenities in a safe manner and giving gift cards to help residents purchase things they may need. Finally, one day as I entered my apartment hallway I discovered this sheer green bag with gold stars on it. It said "thank you" and was filled with snacks. I took a picture of it and sent it to my girl friend thinking she dropped it off on my door knob to send some love. Turns out it was also from the management team. Well, one last thing..lol...a few weeks ago they provided the information that residents may need to receive rental assistance. After reading this, YOU don't want to live at The Cameron, then I will send you my prayers. Seriously, I am thankful to be able to call the Cameron HOME.

I have lived at the Cameron since 2018. It has been a great experience living here. The building is well kept, but there have been some maintenance issues. I do love the staff they are quite responsive to the needs of the residents. I truly appreciate Rosalind, the leasing agent, who helped me move into my second apartment in the building. She was understanding and so helpful every step of the way. She responded to emails quickly and took the time to explain everything to me. As for the location, it is a bit pricey but the apartment building is close to downtown and the metro which makes it easy to get around without needing a car and there are great shopping places, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. around in downtown Silver Spring.

Super cute!! Love the concierge and how helpful they are, super clean building. I also love the have metro schedule and the weather. Love when I get to visit my Aunt here
