Booked a nonsmoking room and it smelled like strong smoke. Room was old and things were falling apart. Missing light bulbs in the shower and the tv was falling off the wall. We couldn’t stand to stay another night. I was not given a refund for the second night despite complaints. Will not be staying here again.

Stayed for one night, upon my arrival, I had to wait for the staff with another customer. Staff arrived 2-3 mins later. Upon receiving my key I went to my room on the first floor. On the way there, I noticed that the hallway carpet was dirty, so dirty that you can tell that it has not been steam cleaned in years. Mr room at first glance was neat and clean. As I flipped the switch, the light came on by the door, but no lights from the bed area.. I went to each lamp and pressed the little switch with no lights. I suspected that the lamps were unplugged, I went to the front desk to inform the staff. She came over and confirmed that each lamp was unplugged.. She apologized, at this point I am tired and disappointed and did not want to wait for her to plug the lamps in and asked for a different room. Crystal was her name, she again offered an apology and arranged for another room. The next room was on the second floor. Just like the previous room, it looked neat and clean and the lights did work. (note, hallways in the place had any odor, I was not sure if it was cannabis or moldy.) I sat down to relax and turned on the TV.. no cable service. I called the front desk twice with no answer. I walked down to the front desk to ask about the cable service. Crystal was not sure but checked on it. She did not know how to address the issue and would have to fall for someone else. At this point I am not too pleased with everything, I asked for a refund, but Crystal informed me that I had to wait for management the next day. I then I asked for another room. She informed me that there was no other king size bed available, I said I didn't care, I just wanted another room no matter the size of the bed. She gave me a double bed and everything worked in that room. This room looked neat and clean. I was tired and went to bed. Next morning I got ready to leave, I noticed that the tub had a ugly stain, the faucet leaked. and then wall paper was starting to peel. Overall, it was definitely a disappointing experience. Crystal was very apologetic and helpful, even though I was not too visibility pleased.

The mulberry in is the cheapest and affordable hotel for a reason. They have bedbugs. They have mold that they try to hide or spray paint on their ceilings. I know it’s black mold because I do this type of work personally I put in drywall I put in laminate floors; I do this type of work a repair mold in homes they will get you sick and your children ,do not stay here! They call excessively and way before checkout time around 830 is when I get the call if I’m going to stay or not. I would Not advise anyone to stay here. Management is horrible

The place is a crack motel do not take kids anywhere near that place.
Don't know. What I do know is that the Mulberry Inn is the best motel value when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. For the best rate I booked on Trivago.
The only thing is if you have a joining room check to make sure that the door is still locked cause when we got back to room ours was unlocked
