I would consider my stay to be excellent for a couple of reasons. For starters the check in process was so quick and easy that it literally made my whole day!! The overall look of the hotel on the outside and in the lobby is quite clean and it smells really good. The room is nice and up to date with usb and regular outlets all over and easily accessible . The bed is really comfy and the pillows are PerFectttt!! The pool was readily available for swimming for the hours it was stated to be opened! 😉 But the most Amazing part of staying here was the young lady at the front desk! Her name is Tia and she is the best! She has a super inviting smile and a very friendly demeanor. Her customer service skills are ON POINT! She not only did her job very quickly and efficiently but she was extra sweet and definitely most helpful in turning my family’s bad day into a happy memorable evening!!! If all the hotels I tried to check into today before this one could hire their own Tia they would most definitely be winning!! But since they can’t this Days Inn is absolutely rated above the rest!!! Thank you again Tia for your beautiful personality and genuine care for your customers!! You are definitely the GoAt 🐐 and I couldn’t be more appreciative of you! ❤️

Lobby smelled like weed the whole time we were there. Staff was nice. Check out was easy. 2 different cereals for breakfast. Bread for toast. Eggo waffles. The orange and apple juice machine didn’t work. Good location. Easy to get too. Mattresses were hard. The rooms are a little dark.

This Days Inn is in a very nice area of Newport News and very close to Christopher Newport University. The room was good and they have a nice pool. While not extensive, breakfast is served from 6 to 9am. The service is exceptional!!! Shirley provides quick, enthusiastic service and is more than happy to help customers!! I will come back to Days Inn just to see Shirley!

There's was no toilet seat..... No shower curtain...and the card reader for the door would not read card so we had to swipe card about 50 times to get into room each time. The microwave plate did not fit to the microwave so the microwave will not turn when heating up food. Over half of the lamps and lights in the room did not turn on....worst place we ever been!!
