Absolutely helpful in all the things I wanted to get done and assisted me with the things I didn’t understand.

Worst place to go. Nobody wants to do anything, give you the most vague information, waste your time with multiple trips because of poor communication. Don’t waste your time here.

I didn’t have a card because I didn’t think I needed to pay anything and the guy that helped me at 1:45 on September 7th in window 13 was a complete jerk to me. He was really condescending when he asked me questions

Polite, quick and easy to get through that much of a hassle, thank goodness!

For newly purchased cars title and/or bill of sale with purchase price (to figure taxes) proof of insurance to be safe or your renewal notice... Basically just everything you'd need to register minus the completed emissions test. As for cost you simply pay the registration and tax fee you will be paying anyway & the paper temp tag is actually under $10- it's either $3 or $6, I can't remember exactly. If you are having difficulty getting it to pass you can actually get up to 2 extensions on the temp tag as well while you try to fix it. If you are simply renewing you can actually do all of this online and print the temporary tag as opposed to going to the Tax Commission.
You need to go to a different DMV, UT separates its vehicle registeration services from its licencing services. I like the Orem DMV Licence office. Previous states drivers licence. Birth certificate . Social Security Card or Last Years W2. And 2 items of proof of new residence. IE: City water bill, Electric Bill, Bank statement, ect (NOT cell phone bill) You will be required to pass the written portion again, but it's open book.
This address is for the vehicle division. You'll want to visit the drivers license division on 800 North in Orem. To change your address, call ahead to see what they want for requirements.
I'm not certain, but if it were me I'd at least go wait in line and see if they can help me with my real issue.
You can register it but they will not register it in just his name since he is not there with you. You will have to add your name to the title. He can take your name off once he comes home.
They don't do that at the DMV. There are driver's license offices in uccu building in East Bay Provo on second floor.
This would need to be done at the orem DMV
Yes
Yes you can. If you have something like a change of title you may still be required to go in to show physical proof.
Go to the driver's license division in Orem on 800 north.
In general, you will need to get it registered, get insurance and add the following: headlights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, speedometer, tires, mirrors, windshield and lighted license plate holder.
They would fill out a lost title form to get it replaced.
You can call the Provo DMV And the people that work there are very friendly and will answer your questions.
I had one. Not sure it's necessary but it went very fast. Had to return again today, with appointment in and out in less than 10 minutes.
You can't edit an existing appointment. You'll need to cancel the old one, (you can't have more than one at a time, the system won't let you) and then make a new appointment.
Probably
If you're just doing a renewal, you can do it all online. You can also usually do it at an "On the spot" renewal location. Simply get the emissions test passed (if needed) and then log in to renewal express to complete the renewal or visit a location that participates in "On The Spot" renewals and get it done at the same time as your emissions test.
Did you complete emissions? I think the temp gets you on the road, but there might be more steps than just paying at the dmv. Hope that helps you.
You need to make an appointment from their website now because of covid and so you just got to go to the DMV website in Provo and then you'll need to bring in the title that is signed from the previous owner and the amount that you bought it for should be on the title and then you just take it to the DMV when you make your appointment and then they sign the title over to you and then they'll send you a new one in the mail two weeks later
Yes u do still need an appt
File for abandoned vehicle if the guy can't be reached after I think a month or so they will issue you a title
You just bring your marriage certificate, your license, and social security card to the social security office. They can do it in about half an hour, and send your new social to your address. Once you get that, you can take that to the dld and they will change it there!
Yea you still need to make an appointment
With a release of intrest of the owner on the title you need their signature releasing intrest to salvage the vehicle
I was never able to find a way when I needed to do that. I just didn't show up. I never had any repercussions
The DMV clerk inspected my car, he came out in the parking lot and cross checked the VIN on the car with the paperwork.
Yes, you need an appointment. But the wait is almost non-existent.
I think there is an option that you can reschedule your appointment in the email they sent you and if 1100 is open then yes.
Yes, you'll need a reason. I recommend calling if you are unsure or choosing a generic reason. They will ask if you have an appointment when you arrive.
Anything that needs too be done in person needs an appointment. Go to DMV.Utah.gov and it will tell you what thing need an appointment and don't and how to schedule it
Yes
There's no reason for it not to be. As of this moment it is best to go online so you can schedule an appointment because they will not let you in unless you have an appointment scheduled.
👍 yes you can.
How do I get an appointment to come in to change owns. I got it from my son?
You need to make an appointment to even get into DMV. DMV.utah.gov Search the website for requirements for your camper.
You can only get one with a license doctor written letter that you need one, depending on the situation you get a red one which is temporary or a blue one which is long-term
Yes anything with the VIN will help the DMV find the vehicle.
The drivers division in Orem cannot issue a Federal ID. If you need to know where go to a local recruiter and they should be able to provide you with an address/phone number.
U get your **s 2 the dmv n renew it n pray u don't get penalized!
You should be able to. I did the opposite. Live in WJ. And registered my truck at the Provo DMV
You can apply and pay for a duplicate title but it will be mailed to you.
On the older ones, emisions test is good for 11 months. Not sure about the new ones. I just bought an older one and missed the deadline by one week.
The test is open book, but it helps to review as head of time. Go here to download a copy of the manual. https://dld.utah.gov/ Also, you can schedule an appt online, too; although every time I've gone in, I've never had an appt and never waited longer than 20 min.
Orem
No it's in Orem
The Division of Motor Vehicles may issue permits to Passenger Vehicles, Watercraft, Motorcycles, Trailers, Motor Homes and Off Highway Vehicles. Temporary permits are issued to allow time for the vehicle owner to operate the vehicle while obtaining the required documentation to complete title and/or registration processes on their vehicle. This may include, but not limited to the following: Proof of Ownership or Supporting Documentation Vehicle Safety Inspection Certificates (if required) Vehicle Emission Certificates (if required) All required fees and taxes for titling and registering the vehicle are due at time of permit issuance along with the $6.00 permit fee. The local DMV office decides upon the length of validity for the permit based on individual circumstances. "Vehicle Emission Certification" and the "Safety Inspection" would be qualifiers so, yes it seems you would qualify. https://dmv.utah.gov/register/temporary-permits#dmv-permits
I have only ever heard of temporary tags distributed at the DMV or a dealership, but you could ask someone at a service station that offers inspections.
Yes
Yes. 8-5
First of all, we do not charge a fine if your registration is late or expired. If it is revoked, then there can be a penalty for no insurance. If your vehicle is expired, then when you get it fixed, you can go to the DMV, tell them your vehicle has been out of service so you can be updated to the current month, pay your registration fee and a extra $6 and get on a 15 day permit.
Yes you can. You need to bring in the title and also your FEIN # for your business. The vehicle can be titled in the business name only, or if needed, your individual name can also be added to the title.
Yes. It will be $6 for a 15 day permit.
After you pay the taxes and if you have insurance you can just walk in pay and get you sticker for the next year. Is also possible you ca do it online if you have the card that says you are do for renewal and has instructions
Yes. From 8-5 and also the Friday after Thanksgiving from 8-5.

There is also a driver's license location in Provo in the Utah County Credit Union building on the second floor off of South university Avenue
No the ID is obtained from the same place you get your driver's license
Call the DMV they will explain the process
The phone number is 1-800-dmv-utah. As for your answer all you need to bring is your ID, registration and $5.
This address is only for: new vehicle registration, titles, licences plates, renewal registration, moving permits, title transfers, ect. Pretty much everything for title, registration, and plates.
You can pay $6 for a duplicate title. You have to get the form and have the previous owner still sign it in two places just like they would sign the original title. Then you take that with you to register the car in your name.
There is a licence office in Provo, but at a different address. Not a full service office, but they can make basic changes. Community Credit Union Building 1503 South 40 East Suite 250 Provo, Utah 84606 Source: dld.utah.gov
Orem one.
Yes
At this location. This is a vehicle reg DMV. If you purchased from a private seller, you will need the title to the car. Just walk in, they will help you through the process
Just go to dmv and ask for an extension. I had the same issue last year and all they did was tack on a few dollars to my reg. Only liike $3 if i remember correctly. Not bad though considering the fine for driving without reg if you were to get caught. Or you can file for a non op if you have a secondary vehicle you can drive until the part gets here.
I think they use the value of the property to decide the price, plus the registration fees.
You have to pay any registration fees associated with it. Then they can give you the temporary tag
The same as any other vehicle. Just go in and pay the fees. If you were the owner during the unpaid year, you'll have to pay for both years.
They have Spanish speakers at this location. And yes for car, not for license
You can only do online registration when you are renewing a vehicle.
No. Registering a vehicle is completely separate from having a license.
Registration and titles only
By simply typing "Utah DMV Lost License" into any search bar, the following result popped right up.... To replace a lost Utah driver license you must appear at a driver license office and provide two proofs of documentation. You can visit our required documentation page to see what works as proof. This applies to duplicate, renewal, and lapsed Utah licenses.
Mike N- it seems you have no life. Get off your high horse and find something better to do. Or if you insist on answering these questions, a simple act of kindness goes a long way!! P.s. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Birth Cert, SSN card, ect... The stuff you had to turn in to get it in the first place. Sometimes they ask to see a credit card or other bank card.
No, licenses need to be done online or at the orem location
You will have to call them to find out.
The title to your vehicle, your license, and passed safety and emissions test. We also had our proof of insurance just in case but they didn't ask for it.
Most physicians have those forms you need, have them fill them out and return it to the DMV
What kind of moving permit?
